I'll be receiving a new 2024 rcsb xl pretty soon, trying to decide between stage 1 and 2. Kinda leaning toward 2. Anyone with experience with both?

Stage 2, stage 1 has like a 103 to 105 limiter.
Buddy has one on his RCSB and cant even do 1/4 run and it falls flat

Thanks for the input, another reason to lean toward stage 2. There's SO much that comes with stage 2 over stage 1-injectors, throttle body, and perhaps biggest of all, the generation 6 blower. By the way, I talked to whipple a day or two ago, and I asked if they're going to be coming out with a gen 6 stage 1 for the '24's. He was a little coy, but it appears that yes, they likely will, and maybe not too long from now. Don't crucify me if this turns out to not be correct, but I'd be very surprised if they were not working on that as we speak. It only makes sense, they could put a bigger pulley on the blower to make the same boost as current stage 1's while probably making a bit more power due to greater compressor efficiency over generation 5 units. Lebanon Ford, who I'm getting my truck from, quoted me $500 over stage 1 price for stage 2. Those numbers are $13,000 and $13,500 respectively. Upgrading from stage 1 to 2 later is MUCH more expensive, and doesn't actually get you the gen 6 blower.

After the cost of the truck and added blower is a TRX, or a Shelby pickup?

I dunno, can you get those trucks for less than 60 grand? I think the trx is a good bit more, no idea on the shelby.

Turbo is always the answer
Hard to argue with that. My datsun has a 5.3 ls with a pt88 on it, not yet running. It oughta move pretty decent when I get it going. It went 7.80's before I owned it.

Sheesh. What's wrong with it now?

There's plenty of vids of twin turbo coyotes destroying everything out there. I was planning on tuning my Ecoboost but found out after the ECU still isn't cracked and that the 5.0s make absurd power with turbos

Nothing is wrong with it, I got it minus motor. Had a 434 sbc in it before with a fogger and a plate. I'm putting it on the street, was a drag car before.

Sometimes by the time buying the truck, putting all the mods on it can be cheaper or near the price of one already done.

I fix software bugs!
I went the Ford Performance/Whipple 5x Stage 1. I don’t drag it, I just wanted a little more zip every now and then. I’m very satisfied with the power levels, I just need more traction ?

I guess a question for you is what do you plan on doing with you truck…

Ram discontinued the TRX for model year 2025. I live a half mile away from a CDJR dealer and their last TRX six months ago had a sticker of $109K. You could buy two Whippled F150s (granted, RCSB and pretty barebones) for less than that.

I installed a stage 2 on my 22 and it was great other than the throttle body whistle. This time I went with a stage 1r which has everything fueling but uses the stock throttle body.
you can still get all three kits in both gen5x or gen6 but at regular price the gen6 is only 500 more so I would lean that way.

Shelby's new can be bought for high 90's in a regular cab model. The used ones are in the 80's.
I was going to buy one, but decided building it was the cheaper way out.
Now that I'm deep into it, I'm not sure that is the case.
