SSM 51688 Inoperative camera TSB 23-2146

Ever since I got my truck, the 360 camera system has never worked properly, and I also randomly get front parking sensor warnings even when Im not near anything. Just called the dealership and they said that Ford has instructed all service centers not to perform any work or replacement on anything pertaining to the APIM/IPMA, and that Ford is working on updated software that will be released in a 4th quarter (Octoberish) OTA update. Just though if anyone else is having similar issues you might want to know that the dealership isn't dong anything about it currently. There is mention in the SSM of replacing the coax cable that goes between the front facing camera and the APIM, but they won't touch it until the OTA update is performed.

There is an SSM out for few weeks about October APIM update on way to resolve bugs in the sync system. It basically tells dealers to tell consumer to hurry up and wait.

Try a different dealer. The APIM update coming in Q4 is to address issues with phone connectivity and other APIM related issues. One thing has nothing to do with the other.

Yeah, from what I have been reading this issue that I’m having is to do with the coax cable between the APIM and forward facing camera behind the rear view mirror
