Great, now I can stop trying to get a picture of it myself. I’m guessing it’s a shift to R while rolling to a stop, hard shift is it shifting to R with a teeny bit of movement still. I’m not going to try it, but guessing same thing would happen if you shifted to R while doing 15mph.
I believe the shift column is more electronic these days than mechanical so you don’t destroy things with an accidental shift.
Thanks for grabbing the picture!

I'm wondering if that is part of it too.

I've got a few minor items I wanna have the dealer take a look at. Adding this to the list. Will follow up once/if I get anywhere with it.

Well since the last post, I've now every time come to a full stop, do a 2-second count, and put it in reverse and it hasn't happened again.

I’m getting an intermittent dododo chime when shifting into reverse. I don’t see any messages but thinking it’s the same one that was posted here by @Jerome10 but it goes away quickly. If I hear the dododo chime and start reversing right away there will be a clunk like as if it’s doing a neutral drop. If I wait 2 seconds then there is no clunk. I’m not sure what to make of this.

If you get the dododo chime, that's exactly right. I had to always record then replay frame-by-frame to catch the message popup

I will sometimes get the clunk. Most of the time if I get this message, I will get a shudder as I start reversing.

Unfortunately it has returned for me a few times the last couple weeks. Still only in front of my house though

I am quite sure I'm still giving it the couple seconds but I can't be 100% honest that I remember to wait every time.

I know I will have the truck in for the grinding IWE TSB as soon as it gets below freezing again. I plan to mention this issue to them.

I have a weird situation that is extremely erractic.

I back into my garage. I’d say once or twice a week when I stop in front of my house and put the truck in reverse I get a dash warning balllllinnngg. Balllliinnnngg.

Sounds almost like I don’t know, a seatbelt warning? A door open warning?

Other days I put the truck in reverse and never makes the sound.

If I’m anywhere else and put the truck in reverse it makes no noise. It really only happens maybe 25% of the time only at my house before I back in.

It’s not the parking beepers. It’s not the powerboost backup beeping.

Any ideas? Does the truck warn you if the wheel isn’t perfectly straight? On an incline?

It’s so bizarre.

Only other thing I might notice when it does this is a slight shudder as I start reversing. But again I’ve never ever had this slight shudder except in front of my house.

It’s like the road in front of my driveway makes the truck do weird stuff.

It’s nothing major but I’d love to know what this is. Why it’s random and only in front of my house.
i'm glad i'm not the only one, lol i get the exact same thing. It happens to me pretty regularly too, and when stopping on the street, and backing up my driveway. I didnt think about an "object proximity sensor".
i usually have my head turned when it happens, so i'm not looking at the dash. I have seen something flash on the center of the dash, but so fast i couldnt read it.

Hey hey! Finally caught it on video the split second the warning popped up. Got the shudder again as well. And again, right in front of my house.

Any ideas on this one? Gear Selected will Engage at Low Speed very bizarre.....

there's WAY too many stupid beeps, chimes and dumb "warnings" in new trucks

No update on solution but for first time ever I had this occur away from my house.

Home Depot, needed to reverse a bit to get in the parking spot and got a horrendous shudder.

I’m suspecting this only happens at my house, or now today, because it’s the only times I go from Drive into Reverse. Basically every other Reverse occurs from Park.

Going slowly seems to help but it’s still occurring. At times.

I had the truck in a few weeks ago for clunky shifts. Trans specialist was very good. We rode around with his system connected to truck. Can view all pressures, shift times etc. Zero issue. No stored codes. He checked my fluid level and it’s all ok. So trans seems to be “fine” for now.

I doubt I can recreate this reverse shudder with any consistency for the dealer.
