I turned off speed sign recognition because in my '21, at this one bridge I cross every time I drive into town, it slows to 60mph thinking the bridge weight limit sign for 60 tons is the speed limit. I have tried resetting etc and can't get it corrected. Has anyone else had this issue and is it possibly corrected in an OTA that I haven't yet received? Thanks.

I've never noticed mine 'read' a sign wrong, but there are several spots along Hyw 60 in MN, where the road used to be 2-lane and 60mph, and has since been widened to 4-lane 65 mph, but my truck will slow to 60mph, and display the 60mph sign on the speed-o even though that road is 65mph now, typically won't get 'corrected' until I pass the next posted sign for 65mph.

So at least in my case it is not the speed sign recognition, but I believe anyway, more to do with old Maps/GPS data that has yet to be 'corrected'...

This change from 60 to 65 was years ago...so I don't know why that wouldn't be fixed yet, I'm fairly sure my WAZE GPS shows that same section as 65, but the truck will think it's 60mph....and there are no obscure "60" signs posted that the camera would even see, which leads to my conclusion..

It is super annoying, and just makes me wonder why people feel so comfortable allowing/using 'self-driving' modes in anything....

I turned mine off as well, the truck was ready to kill me! ??
Driving on county road 75 in New Jersey the truck saw this sign and commenced to accelerate to 75mph right into a 25mph hard curve.

? OMG that would be terrifying!

I wonder if it just assumes every black text on white background on a squareish size = speed limit..

I've only ever had mine be annoying and slow me down when not necessary.

Turned off here as well, way too flakey with false readings.

Mine reads the speed limit sign on the left side that is ment be for the highway that just split off to the left and slows down fairly fast causing vehicles behind me close in fast. I turn right and the speed remains at 65. It also shows down for old speed areas that were changed years ago.
Maybe there is a way to correct Wase and Google?

I think you nailed it there, just about anything that somewhat resembles a speed limit sign seems to do it, I've seen mine change with bridge tonnage signs as well.

I've had mine read a 100 KMPH sign as 120 KMPH and accelerated like a bat out of you know what from the 80 zone we had just left.

Also there are a few times that it will read a 60 sign as 80, but I rarely use the cruise control on those stretches.

Says right in the manual that this is known to happen and not to rely on the truck reading the speed signs correctly.

I‘ve had this problem in my ‘21 since day 1 driving on Missouri highways and interstates. They use a bridge weight limit sign that is the same shape and color as a speed limit sign. I have complained to Ford about this with no resolution.

I did not have this issue until the last OTA. When I drive on Hwy 80 in the dark, it sees the sign as 80MPH. No fun when you are in a 35 or 45 MPH zone and it decides to race up to speed. With full light or even evening light, it is not an issue. Just when it is dark, foggy, or heavy rain. So it is reading the signs rather than pulling it from some preset map.
