My problems just keep piling up.

Auto Sense Wipers are ON in the vehicle settins.
It rained this morning while I was driving. Wipers set to the Auto position. Nothing works.
I switched to intermittent speed (any of them) - nothing works. I get one wipe as I set it, but they won't continue intermittently.
I then turned Auto Sense OFF and the intermittent speeds work as they should. Auto still doesn't work.
I turn it back ON and it stops working again.

Anyone else has/had this issue? Any idea where to look?

My understanding is that when in Auto mode the intermittent speed setting ring actually adjusts the sensitivity of the automatic sensor. What would be the fastest intermittent setting is the most sensitive setting.

I tried using Auto and didn't like it. It either seemed to ignore water on the windshield until I couldn't see or it would sweep when the glass was dry so I switched it off and I use the old fashion intermittent speeds.

UPDATE:

Did a little search after posting this and found @MYF150FX4 's post in this thread where he discovered @Ford Motor Company 's "amazing" build quality and QC, where the sensor is not even attached to the housing where it's supposed to be, so the little camera doesn't see movement, it doesn't see rain, hence why it won't work and it only worked when I disabled it, putting the system in manual, good ole' fashion wiper mode.
It is fixed now.

Thank you.
