Yes, mine got jacked too. It's been nearly 3 weeks of driving around w/ no AC, no cruise, collision Assist, GPS, etc.
I have an appointment on the 8th.

As soon as all my modules get updated, and truck operates as it should, I am 100% turning off OTA updates. This whole experience has sketched me out!

I turned auto updates off as well after reading @OP post. Not that I received any updates so far....but still.

Most haven’t. It’s a gateway update. I think I’m the OPs case it was a failure to configure. The module reconfigs after the update. I’m betting theirs had a issue during the config. I wanted the vin so I could check the OTA status and if anything happened in fords view

All auto does is install updates without your approval. Turning auto off will not prevent updates you just have to approve the install.

The only issues I'm having since the update are my iPhone losing sync, and BlueCruise dropping out frequently on I-70 eastbound and westbound of the Ike tunnel. I hadn't traveled on I-70 from Denver to the mountains since I received BlueCruise OTA, so I don't know if it is the highway coverage that is spotty. The dropouts were frequent enough to render the system pretty much useless. The coverage on I-25 around Denver was flawless. I'll see if that has changed in my truck.

A software update happened over night. Got in My truck this morning and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Couldn't drive it. Towed the dealership. So upset with Ford every update screws something up

I think I'm having the same problem couldn't get my truck out of the garage. Brakes were locked.

I got my f150 in April of 2021 and OTA has never worked .. can't even enable it. I guess my APIM is wedged. I did have the dealer apply manual updates maybe 3 months ago which improved some aspects of SYNC 4. However, this was also supposed to fix the fact that I can't enable OTA. It didn't and dealer was silent on this. Yes, I have a battery tender and my truck is hooked up to solid WiFi when I'm home.

Jesse, at the risk of asking a dumb question: How do you see such things using the VIN? Do you need Technician level access to a Ford site?

My over steer was wonky for about 5 miles and then fine after that.

Regarding this subject, turning Auto Update OFF serves a purpose - to allow the making of an informed decision. So, how does an F-150 owner proceed from here? What is the source, where does one get the information to make the informed decision?

- How to identify an OTA update is pending?
- How to ascertain OTA update designation label (Alpha-Numeric designation and title) for reference to look up purpose of update?
- Best way to learn when and if it is safe to do the update or learn NOT to do the update?

I just turned my Auto Update to OFF. Now.... what? I also just copied and pasted the Update code from this post and pasted into internet search and really came up with nothing; only leads that popped up were for MACH-E..... Certainly, there wasn't any sites like Microsoft or Windows updates or any geeks forums to help out. So, now what?

Thanks ahead of time. You provide a great source (probably only source) to help us all out and inform us of these matters. I didn't set out to buy a computer to drive. But whatyagonnado?

I had my 21 Platty EB at the dealership back in June to have them replace the APIM, so the truck could update OTA.
You may have a problem with the APIM on your truck.
I got the update on Sept 2nd with no issues. Not sure what was included in the OTA
My BlueCruise works as well.

I don't have the Vin handy but thr update was priority update 22-pu0727-v1-fxb

FYI... the Ford Pass has your VIN number!
