Smoked 3rd brake light!

Looking for the best way to smoke the 3rd brake light on my 2024 RCSB.
Not wanting to spend $200 on Morimoto or Recon.

Previous years have aftermarket smoked 3rd brake lights available. Do the 2015-2020 not fit the 21+? Morimoto lights say 15-24. So, any 15+ 3rd brake light should work right?

I've thought about wrapping them but my tint guy says the contoured corners will be hard for the wrap to stay on it. ?

I thought about VHT Nite Shades. That's probably the route I'll go with unless I can find a smoked aftermarket one that fits a 2024.


So, biggest question. Does 15+ fit 24s?

Went down that road unsuccessfully. I was unable to get it to last. After I tried it by myself I had a shop do it, and it didn't even last a year.

Between the heat in the summer and the snow from the winter everything just peeled off. I'm curious what people are doing myself to make it last.
I have the Recon on my 24' ?

Just purchase the Morimoto 3rd brake light and call it a day! It's made far better than the OEM El Cheapo that comes with our trucks from the factory.

Tint it . That’s what I did and i think it looks great

I did three very light coats of VHT nightshade and it was black as the night sky. Matched the 5% rear windshield but the light still shined through just as bright as the taillights. After exactly a year this is what it looks like now. Keep in mind I go through an automatic car wash at least 3-4 times/week

How'd you go about tinting it? Did you just remove it, tint it (wrapping around edges), then reinstall?
