Just built one exactly as I built my 21 (other than wheels, couldnt pick my exact ones without removing the Lariat high package), 16k MSRP increase for the same options.

I just tried that and it was $2,200.00 more but mine has options that are no longer available.

It's a numbers game. Always has been. The worst will be the next few years. We can't get our manufacturing base up to speed fast enough. Just to handle our semiconductors alone requires 4 million new people in the workforce. That's but a very small subset of industry. We've already got a skilled labor problem. Even if by some miracle we could train 20yr olds to do it, we needed to start making those 20yr olds, 21 years ago.

We've invested at least 40 years into outsourcing nearly everything. The most dire of industrial needs will take at least 4 years to get up to speed. Building out facilities, equipping them with machines, and training labor just doesn't have a magic fast-track, and that's assuming there's idle hands ready to go.
...and that's assuming that corporation boards agree to bring production back on shore, which I think is the least likely scenario. They love the cheap labor available in China and third world countries. What would a truck cost if all the parts were built using US labor rates?

I'm surprised the OP is surprised, with the fact everything has increased. A pound of hamburger, chicken, gas....shall I go on? Now, the historical workforce entry-level job for teenagers... McDonald's should be now be a job to support a family? That and the government is printing money like a movie theater pops popcorn.... Geesh... Everything is out of control like an 18 wheeler headed downhill without brakes... Need to find an emergency runoff to get it stopped. The fixed income population is really feeling the squeeze with inflation and their retirement accounts shrinking like crazy on top of the inflation.

Oh well that's me being a grumpy old man this morning... Hey you..get off my yard. ;)

I knew that prices had gone up on the F150 and well everything else too. I just didn’t know it had been a 12.5% increase in less than a year since ordering mine. I agree this country is out of control right now.

I’m guessing the GM and RAM guys are having the same complaints about YoY price increases.

My build was pretty simple,

Lariat high package
4x4 package
FX4 off road package
Powerboost 3.5
Sport appearance package
Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0
Bedliner – Tough Bed® Spray-In

I think thats all.

I bought mine for 60k +- MSRP new MSRP is 76k (75,910)

Although looks like Lariat High added wireless charging pad, when I ordered the 21 that was only for Platinum.

don’t forget that plentiful rebates/incentives can bring these high ass MSRP’s down someday..

So I ordered a 2022 F150 Lariat back in November of 2021. I took delivery of it in January of 2022 and the MSRP was $62,995. I’m in a situation where I have stipulations by my work vehicle plan that requires me to trade every couple of years. I was just curious so I built a truck on Fords website of the same trim level and as closely optioned as I could get to the one I have and the MSRP was over $71,000 now. That is just utterly ridiculous! I enjoy my truck and have owned a bunch of cords over the years but I’m thinking I’ll have to go to something else next time. Anyone else is the same boat?
Bought a 2020 Raptor in October 2019 (just before things got out of control) for sticker which was $64000 (yes, that was the price). Two years later I trade it in on a 2022 Lariat fully loaded which stickered for $68500 and got the Lariat plus $2000 to me. The Raptor had INCREASED in value over that time to the low $70s and even with that I let the dealer get the best of me. So what did my dumb a** do... Just couldn't stand to be ahead of the game for the first time in my life of buying vehicles. I placed an order for a 2023 Raptor on August 4th which will sticker for $87000 and is scheduled to be built November 2nd. That should put me right back in the hole I've lived in since buying my first vehicle as a kid. Its just no fun if you can't p*** and moan in life about something.

Perhaps but I don't see the 0% loans coming back anytime soon and I suspect that the money I'm saving at that rate is far beyond any "incentives" they might offer....

Just built a similar lariat to my 2021. Looks like about $8,500 more and no 0% financing.

So you’re saying Ford is doing me a favor by not delivering my MY22 built Platinum. It’s worth more money every day that I don’t drive it. That’s really nice of them.
