Shifter clicking?

I just picked up a ‘22 f150. My Console shifter will go into gear but it makes a clicking sound. It goes away but I have to push it a tad forward every time so it doesn’t click. Also it doesn’t fold down or up. Just clicks a couple times and that’s it.

Mine did that and I just replaced the shifter. It’s not super expensive. It’s the shifter detent on mine

I just grabbed one off eBay. There are a couple different ones I think based on trim but this was mine.

Mine did it and there was a GSM update that fixed it. You may not have shipped with the newest software or didn’t receive the update yet?
