Got my F150 on the scales yesterday with a full tank of fuel and my 180# sweaty carcass driving around.

The Truck is a Limited Powerboost, with a shell, 2.5" leveling kit and some heavier tires.

Front axle weight is 3,600#s and a RA weight is 3,060#s for a total weight of 6,660#s. Fun fact, my Lifted '99 F250 7.3 Powerstroke 4x4 Supercab weighed 6,200#s with driver and fuel.

Not sure really how this plays in to my stock, pretty low 'Combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed' (yellow doorjam sticker) 1363#s for towing purposes, since I don't have a realistic empty weight (can this be found online or otherwise?).

Thoughts?

Sure, she's chunky but she looks sexy the way I like.

Your remaining payload is 7350 - 6660 = 690

I say we use the new revised gimped GVWR of 7400! 7400-6660 = 740lbs. Now doesn’t that just feel better all round ?

no idea, but not sure what else is different between 21-23s and the 24s. maybe those 300 lines of code saved some weight too, lol.

Wow! My 2021 weighed 5,480 lbs with a full tank and me (280 lbs at the time) in it on a CAT scale. That's crazy that your truck is 1,400 lbs. heavier and that's literally all payload as mine has a payload 1,906 lbs. Ouch.

Nice looking truck though!

I certainly believe you just curious where that number (7,350) comes from?

When traveling I'll drag my 2 girls (about 210#s), maybe 100#of coolers and food plus maybe 90#s in bikes and gear in the camper. This puts my weight up to 7,060#s only leaving me with 290#s of allowable tongue weight?

I guess what I'm trying to understand is the RV trailer I'm looking at weighs right at 5K#s, so 12% of that weight on the tonque is 600#s. For sure I'll run a WDH but that still puts me a solid 310#s over my truck's rated payload spreading the weight out nicely.

I'm not as sensitive to the entire weight thing as others are and I know the manufacturers have lots of leeway in their numbers. I also recognize that with my heavy SL rated tires and the WDH, plus a cautious driving style I'll be safe.

However, I'm still trying to understand where this 7,350# number comes from, and is that number assuming the worst-case scenario of not using a WDH and all of that weight be solely on the rear axle (and then some)?

Please advise and thank you.

Look at the GVWR number on the sticker on your door panel.

Tires are Falken AT4's 285/ 55R22s.

The truck also has a 2.5" leveling kit up front, .75" more in the rear, 1.25" hubcentric wheel spacers & some OEM style pocket fender flares that were painted to match as I don't like tires hanging out as it makes a mess of the truck.

In my opinion the truck has great presence on the road as it's a bit wider and stockier looking.
