Very nice ! Thanks for the info. I’m liking the ideasTires are Falken AT4's 285/ 55R22s.
The truck also has a 2.5" leveling kit up front, .75" more in the rear, 1.25" hubcentric wheel spacers & some OEM style pocket fender flares that were painted to match as I don't like tires hanging out as it makes a mess of the truck.
In my opinion the truck has great presence on the road as it's a bit wider and stockier looking.
More than the 3.0L Diesel? That shows just how much extra weight the powerstrok....powerboost brings to the table. That front end weight is insane.
Put as much crap in/on the trailer as possible!I certainly believe you just curious where that number (7,350) comes from?
When traveling I'll drag my 2 girls (about 210#s), maybe 100#of coolers and food plus maybe 90#s in bikes and gear in the camper. This puts my weight up to 7,060#s only leaving me with 290#s of allowable tongue weight?
I guess what I'm trying to understand is the RV trailer I'm looking at weighs right at 5K#s, so 12% of that weight on the tonque is 600#s. For sure I'll run a WDH but that still puts me a solid 310#s over my truck's rated payload spreading the weight out nicely.
I'm not as sensitive to the entire weight thing as others are and I know the manufacturers have lots of leeway in their numbers. I also recognize that with my heavy SL rated tires and the WDH, plus a cautious driving style I'll be safe.
However, I'm still trying to understand where this 7,350# number comes from, and is that number assuming the worst-case scenario of not using a WDH and all of that weight be solely on the rear axle (and then some)?
Please advise and thank you.
Not generally a topper fan; but your setup looks really good! Nice work.Got my F150 on the scales yesterday with a full tank of fuel and my 180# sweaty carcass driving around.
The Truck is a Limited Powerboost, with a shell, 2.5" leveling kit and some heavier tires.
Front axle weight is 3,600#s and a RA weight is 3,060#s for a total weight of 6,660#s. Fun fact, my Lifted '99 F250 7.3 Powerstroke 4x4 Supercab weighed 6,200#s with driver and fuel.
Not sure really how this plays in to my stock, pretty low 'Combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed' (yellow doorjam sticker) 1363#s for towing purposes, since I don't have a realistic empty weight (can this be found online or otherwise?).
Thoughts?
Sure, she's chunky but she looks sexy the way I like.

Can you provide the brand/model of the fender flares? Curious minds.Tires are Falken AT4's 285/ 55R22s.

The powerboost likely adds about 600+ pounds to the equation ... plus the cap topper is probably 250 ~ stuff weighs more than we realize ... a full tank on that truck also weighs about 230, extra stuff under the rear seat, even flashlights and things in the glove box and center console all add up ...Wow! My 2021 weighed 5,480 lbs with a full tank and me (280 lbs at the time) in it on a CAT scale. That's crazy that your truck is 1,400 lbs. heavier and that's literally all payload as mine has a payload 1,906 lbs. Ouch.
Nice looking truck though!
Where do you got to find a CAT Scale? Is it any CAT Scale you can just drive to and use, pay, etc.? Or do you need to find a place that will let you weigh your truck? This was my 2022 4x4 Lariat with moon roof before anything. Just 200 lbs of driver in the truck.
I am just waiting to finish any mods before I take it down again. I added some Builtright molle plates to the bed, OEM rubber bed mat, new thick carpet interior mats, 1 gallon air compressor, a number of different extension cords for 30 amp and some regulars and adapters and an ARE CX Revo topper. I'll probably run this down again soon.
The only other thing I have is the Talons Garage cat plate I bought a long time ago. I am still debating putting it on. My intention was to do oil changes myself but it proved more difficult to get to the filter than I anticipated. I wish I had access to a lift.Like they say, "getting old ain't for sissies".

I think it is any Cat scale and they have a website that will show you the closest one. It is usually for big rigs but you can drive your F-150 right up and make sure each axle is on the correct plate, and push the button to get your weight. Then drive to the office and pay the lady and she gives you the printout. Easy and well worth doing at the start and once your mods are done if you are adding weight to the truck.Where do you got to find a CAT Scale?
