Friday of last week I got the engine icon in the dash with the message to Service The Engine Soon. Took the 2022 PB in Tuesday morning and got it back late yesterday afternoon from the dealer.
The following are the codes recorded by the OBDLink MX-2
Codes: P0430, U0554-00, P0430-00, P0A1E-00
Pending Codes: P0430, P0430-00
Permanent - P0430
Additional Information:
(triangle with ! inside) Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Status ON
Freeze Frame DTC
(Circle with ! Inside) Distance traveled while MIL is activated 16.78 miles
Number of Warm-Ups since DTC's cleared 255
Distance traveled since DTC cleared 10,675.78
The following was on the invoice when I picked it up.
"CEL IS ON
P0430 B2 CAT CONVERTER EFF CODE
P0A1E STARTER GEN CONTROL MODULE
PERFORM TBS 23-2425 PERFORMED SULFER REMOVAL PROCEDURE AND
UPDATE PCM ALONG WITH OTHER REQUIRED MULTI MODULE UPDATES,
USING MIDTRONICS TENDER TO ENSURE HEALTHY BATTERY LIFE. NO
DTCS POST PROGRAMING AND DESULFER PROCEDURE. IF DTCS RETURNS
REPLACE CAT CONVERTER ASSY.
BOTH OF THESE CODES HAVE TSBS FOR UPDATES TO SPECIFIC
MODULES. THESE UPDATES CAN TAKE AN EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME.
PERFORMED DESULFER PROCEDURE AND UPDATES ON MULTIPLE MODULES."
Today I put the OMBLink MX-2 back in. Looked to see if any codes were available now. There were, plus a wrench icon came on. It said the truck needed to be serviced soon. The following were the codes recorded. The wrench didn't go away until I cleared the codes.
"Diagnostics
Confirmed-(triangle w/ ! inside) P0A1E-00 Starter/Generator Control Module.
Pending - (circle w/ ! inside) P0A1E-00 Starter/Generator Control Module
Current - (triangle w/ ! inside) P0A1E-00 Starter/Generator Control Module.
After I cleared the codes I took another short drive. Neither the wrench nor any codes showed up again. So I don't know what's going on. Guess I'll drive it until another icon shows at which time I'll take it to the dealer again.
