Just left the dealer.
Hoping for the best.

The new shifter is definitely different.
The front-back play is about 1cm.
The old one was noticeably looser. Maybe 2cm.

The new one has black shifter buttons and the old one I think had chrome ones.

The new shifter base is a tad darker I think. Or maybe the texture is slightly different.

20 miles later and I still see a DTC in the PCM but it hasn't triggered a light yet.
So we'll see what happens.
