Interesting, I traded my 2015 in because it had a BLIS fault the dealer could never replicate after three trips in.

Mine did the same thing as soon as I was pulling out of the dealer lot but they went away and haven’t occurred since.

4 days at the dealership and nothing so I took it back. I honestly don't think they tried much, when I picked it up, it wasn't in a bay and obviously had been sitting outside for days. I'll try a different ford dealership next week.

2nd dealership after 2 days said they couldn't do anything because there were no codes on the computer and in their test drive couldn't reproduce. Said "just keep driving it until it gets worse". Ford customer service gave me the run around for a week, tried on Friday to work with their Twitter reps. Love the vehicle, the dealerships can go to hell, they don't even want to try and fix anything.

This is even after showing them pics of every issue and the list of faults in my Ford pass.

Did you get any resolutions on this? Mine has been at dealer for past 4 days and they just called me to tell me they cant replicate....(my 2nd trip to dealer)

No resolution for me. Dealership said same thing can't replicate, 5 minute ride home and I get the adaptive cruise control message. I honestly get the feeling they are not even trying.

You guys with these issues need to start a log with dates and dealers used. Keep all paper work and make photos of the faults. I would call Ford customer service and have them open a file for you.

Also, I would seriously consider the Ford ESP, you can add the car rental with those plans and it's very cheap on line.

They are planning some over the air updates soon if it has not already started. Suppose to be in smaller batches to make sure it goes smooth. I believe they stated it would finish up in Apr.

I hope you can find a dealer that gives a crap too for that is very frustrating I'm sure.

Same here...I picked up from dealer Friday after dealer couldn't replicate and on Saturday I started getting the same faults again...The dealer told me the next to likely steps were to replace some module and if that doesn't work they think it could be a wiring issue...They did open a case but Ford coporate hasn't provided any guidance yet... I guess I am back to the dealer for the third time on Monday...

Intermittent electrical problems are some of the hardest to diagnose and swapping out modules is just their lazy way of handling things.

From what I have been seeing anecdotally, it seems most of these faults are connector related. Which makes sense, since usually, the suppliers of the various modules are pretty good at quality control and have very rigorous testing regimes.

I got the front camera fault at the dealership, then it went away on the long 100 mile drive home. The next day I started getting "front camera fault" and "pre collision assist inop" or something to that effect, about every 30 seconds. It was driving me mad. I went to a local dealer and they said they couldn't look at my truck until May 18.

I hooked up forscan and searched out the IPMA module. I ran a diagnostic on it, and it said "no front camera communication". I found the IPMA module (lower left hand side, where the parking brake would be if it were electronic), and pushed on the wire bundle that seemed really really tight. I ran the forscan IPMA diag again and got "all cameras, no communication". I relieved the tension on that bundle of wires and zip tied it in a better location, as originally all of the camera cables made a tight 90 degree bend into the IPMA. I re-ran diag and got zero faults. I have been driving a couple of weeks now with no faults of any kind. I am going to cancel my appt at the local dealer. Even though I wish I had it documented, I just don't care for Bubba to go tearing panels out or anything if it is working. I have seen dealers replace the windshield, camera, etc. for this fault and not fix it, so I don't want to go down that road if it's working for now.

I say all of that to you guys, because that IPMA runs everything related to the cameras, back up sensors, front sensors, radar, land keeping, forward collision, etc. and communicates with the cruise, ABS and many other systems. I would check those connectors on the IPMA and make sure all of the wires are properly seated inside the connectors themselves, test the ground, etc. I have a feeling the IPMA is the issue. I would have your dealer really focus on that module, and maybe just try resetting it via computer. Maybe this can help someone in the future. I have attached a couple of pictures from the manual to show the location and the connection numbers for the IPMA.

I hope people read your post because I'm 100% positive this was my issue. Wanted to give an update to this thread if anyone still reads it. After 4 dealers, escalations with Ford support and Twitter, the last dealership agreed to replace my IPMA. The interesting part when I picked it up the service notes mentioned a loose connection. They still replaced the IPMA (probably since I've thrown huge fits over this), but makes me think that was the cause all along. By the way I've now gone over 2 weeks with no faults, no adaptive breaking not available messages and no camera issues. This use to happen almost daily for me, so I'm optimistic that my issues are resolved.
