Screwed up outer door handle installing Securicode

Yea, I'm not even sure how TF this happens but apparently I'm a dumbass. The securicode install went easy enough. Put everything back together and wiped it down. Then I go to open the drivers door and it won't open. The handle pulls about 1/2 way out almost like it's locked...but it isn't. The inner door handle opens the door just fine. Can anyone please tell me what TF I messed up?

I have the door apart again and if I pull the handle I can see the mechanism moving..it just doesn't seem to move far enough to unlatch the door. Would really appreciate some suggestions here.

Lol. I took mine off to paint match about 1.5 years ago and remember having similar issues.

Opened the thread to chime in (growing up I assembled doors at my dad's body shop) and the problem got solved in less than an hour. Forums are the best!

I painted my door handles and found one of the videos on Youtube. I even added my own comments to the comment section to help others where maybe they didn't explain it clearly.
