Rough Country SF1 Fender Flares Installed

With the wheel/tire combo I went with, I wanted a slightly more aggressive fender flare to cover it.
Did not want the riveted style, but also didn't want completely smooth.
These were cheap to buy, expensive to paint. But it came out exactly how I wanted.

that actually looks really nice as i'm not a fan of most of these.
It looks pretty cool front he side. Are the 3 indentation type thing just for looks ? Some Led lights on there would look cool , no? And looks like you might need more tire now lol ?

Yeah the notches are just there to make the truck look totally badass. I would consider LED's if I were going to do the LEDs behind the Lariot badge on front quarter panel, but I've elected not to do that.

No more tire for me, I love this truck but do hate that I've got it back down to about the same MPG as my 5.7 Hemi I got rid of.

Offset is a good question, and I don't know the answer. I had the wheels/tires/level all upfitted at the dealership before I took delivery. I want to say +18, but I'm not sure.

how much did the install cost you?

I paid $250 for the install.

I got quotes on paint as low as $450 but ended up spending $1200 on paint. I know I will be judged for this, but my logic was if I'm going to spend this much on a truck, might as well pay to have the aftermarket stuff be done right. The shop that did it is really meticulous about their work. They shot a test panel that looked great to me but then they showed me how in the sun, the metallic wasn't spaced precisely the same as on the rest of the body so they went back and started over. Not something anyone would have ever noticed, but at least I know it's done right.

I will say that the install shop also advised me that Rough Country is lower grade when it comes to the flares, so they were concerned about fitment as I guess they have had issues in the past. But mine were seamless and they were the only ones with the style that I liked.

They look great. I considered those also, and the Lund fender trim available on the Ford accessories website. Neither are compatible with my splash guards, so they would have to come off. Can't modify without warranty voided. So decisions, decisions.

Looks really nice on the truck. Unlike many fender flare kits out there these don't clash at all. The integrated lighting is not my speed, but otherwise I like them.

I agree on the lighting. I like a more minimalist approach. The design on these is just aggressive enough to stand out but still looks like it was meant to be there.

Before I clicked on this thread, I had this pre conceived notion that I'd be seeing pictures of what someone did to wreck their truck. I was pleasantly surprised to see a great looking truck with very nice fender flairs. I've seen some really ugly fender flairs that take thousands of dollars off the truck. Great looking truck!
