2024 F150. 6000 Miles. I’m getting this dash message saying reverse brake assist not available see manual. Sensors are clean and undamaged. Rear camera is clean. Dealership doesn’t know how to fix it since there’s no error code on the obd reader. Any ideas on fixing this?

It also uses the BLIS system. Does that appear to be working ok?

Recently disconnect anything? Put truck in gear before closing all the doors?

Any of these issues from the owners manual?

“Make sure the rear parking aid and cross traffic alert systems are switched on. Make sure that all doors, liftgate or tailgate and hood are closed and no vehicle add-on devices or modifications are interfering with the system. Drive the vehicle on a straight road for a short period. If the message remains, have the system checked as soon as possible”.

I just took mine to the dealership and they did a 360 camera calibration which seemed to resolve the issue?

Just had mine looked at while in for service as I get the same message. I was advised it is because the truck has a leveling kit (bought used ~ was already on the truck) would that cause the message for mine?

The slightest change to parking sensors and/or cameras usually results in that and some other messages - gets fixed by the various calibration procedures that can be done.

I get the same message occasionally, it usually goes away the next time I drive. I've noticed it happening after I've been through a car wash in the cold weather and there may be a bit of ice on one of the sensors. Sometimes it's obvious if I'm driving in the snow and a sensor gets covered.

Are your rear sensors off? If they are, it will display that message.

I keep mine off so I don't have to listen to the truck beeping as I back up. If I turn them back on, message goes away.

My 2023 XLT work truck has had this error since brand new. 3 new back up cameras, multiple recalibrations, etc, etc ,etc .... Ford says they "know" that this is an issue and doesn't have a fix "yet"......BUT one is "coming".......

Ironically, my 2022 KR was fine until an OTA update about a year ago, then it started the same crap as my 2023. So my dealer filed a report with Ford , getting the same reply about a fix "coming"...

I guess I don't have to worry about the 22 getting fixed as my 25 KR is currently in production. But I would like my 2023 to work....at least at some point in it's life.......

My 2024 with 7700 miles is currently at the dealer for the same thing. Has been doing it since I bought it new with 2800 miles on it due to it being a loaner vehicle. Didn’t think much of it as I was told it would go away when I started to drive it. Took the truck in for service and my AC not working. Brought up the break assist not thinking it was gonna be a huge issue. It’s been almost two weeks and the dealer is still trying to fix it.

I am a bit late to the party but I was having the same issue and just ran a 360 camera calibration and rear camera calibration (I know redundant a bit). I no longer get the error message. Was very simple with Forscan. 15 min Easy
