My 2023 came with the Ford branded bed cover (soft) and I don't like the way it looks as it is not low profile whatsoever. I'm looking to replace it with another hard cover that is sleek and low profile. I was looking at the retrax MX covers and they look nice, but are around $2500 + install. I also found one from a company called WorkSport that looks nice as well and is significantly cheaper ($730 currently). I know that you get the lock and key with the retrax, but are there any main differences?

The Retrax cover is a retractable cover. Rolls up like a garage door into a canister at the front of the bed. The cover you linked to is a 3 or 4 piece folding cover. Each type has it's pros and cons with the most obvious being that the retractable covers are a lot more expensive than the folding cover.

I currently have the Ford branded retractable cover. Over all fitment and quality seem to the same as my buddies retrax cover. Down side is that it takes a lot of room up on your bed. I’m ok with that because I went away from the 250 to stop hauling stuff around for everybody. Paid $2100 installed and out the door for the cover and floor mats.

I bought a Pace Edwards Ultra Groove retractable cover from RealTruck.com (Link Here) and I have liked it. Low profile and runs smoothly. I like that I don't have to have an extra key to lock it. You do have to lower the tailgate to open it, but I'm OK with that.

The canister does take up about 8-10" of bed space, but I have the 6'7" bed so I still have plenty of bed space to work with.

I was able to install it in a couple of hours with my two teenage boys helping me out.

I have the Ford branded hard roll up, like the Bak Revolver. I like it. It is low profile and does not have the canister that is visible above the bed. I feel like I can use more of the bed than I did with the tri-fold tonneaus. Only downside is that it can freeze up in really cold climates, since I live in Texas, I don't care about that.
