Recently had a new apim installed and can now move the auto update slider to on. Should I expect to start seeing updates or will I need to go the mongoose/fdrs route to get caught up? Don't really trust the dealer. (Shocker, I know) Thank you for your help 1FTEW1EP3MKD14302
I see an APIM swap with a PMI. Looks like they did it right. What sync version are you on now? Your truck hasn't synced up with Ford yet for me to see it on my side.

Hi. Would you be able to check my vin

I’m pretty sure I’m behind on updates. Haven’t got any since I owned truck. Been trying all tips I found on forums but no luck. Really appreciate it. Thanks. -Cory
Your truck is out of date, but it has been getting updates sent to it. I assume you bought it recently? When an OTA gets sent, the truck has to be started and that acts the trigger for the OTA to download an install. You have to wait for it ro be resent now. Your truck seems fine, though.

@Tiddy-v You should be good to go. It'll take forever for the OTA process to catch you up, but you should start getting them now. That's great.

I finally got that last update to install... pretty sure it was a low SOC and/or the shifty at&t signal in my area .... could you see if there are any OTA pending... since I am close to dealer I brought it home tonight to get the battery charged up and connected to wifi...

VIN : 1FTFW1ED4NFC16965

Thanks!

Reset procedure.

In vehicle door closed.
KOEO (Key on engine off) wait for solid "battery" light on instrument panel..
flash high beams 5 times, step on brake 3 times,, "battery" light will flash and then go solid.
Key off.
Reset complete.

This will also reset the "days in service" which the BCM uses an associated algorithm to charge the battery based on the battery's age.
Thank you so much! is this repetitive thing or should the reset take care of the issue?

Thank you sir...would you pony up $50 for just the PCM update?.. I am thinking not.
I deserve that! ?

There was a time that I certainly would have. The Powerboost was a brand new platform and definitely was in need of some drivability polishing, to say the least. Fortunately Ford released I think 3(?) PCM updates the first year of production. All of which I personally found were noticeable improvements, although Ford was fairly vague with their explanations of what was addressed. (references to 10R80 improvements were officially noted though)

I then upgraded to the 2022 and shortly thereafter applied yet another PCM update. At that point I had such a well behaved Powerboost in respect to the kinds of things a PCM update might affect, drivability-wise, that I'm not sure I'm as quick to desire the next one the instant it's released. So I don't think I will quickly spend the $50 just for that single update, at least without knowledge of exactly what it addresses.

I've really cooled off on the FDRS drug since the birth of the infamous thread. There was so much low hanging fruit in the first 20-25 updates that were released. :)

Snakebitten.. my last pcm update 2 weeks ago made the transition from electric to ice silky-smooth. Also I feel like the truck uses the battery more. I need to check with your pid app.
Do I watch the soc? I wish I had written down the min/max before.
Truck is going in tomorrow for service so I can check when I get it back.
Both my son and I notice almost instantaneous Bluetooth reconnection when restarts. It was needed to reset the apim occasionally. Now when we start the truck we are connected before we even shit to drive.

This worked! Thank you all!

I haven't received any updates since receiving the 23-PU0724-DOM-RS in September. Can you check if I have any pending? Thanks!

Can someone check to see if i have any pending ota updates and see how many updates i have in fdrs? I had two ota updates back in february but none since. Thinking of getting a mongoose and doing it myself.
