Well, you called it, replace APIM, on order with no ETA. Should I attempt the TSB or just wait on the new module? Any issues or concerns waiting?Software. If your button to toggle auto-updates on and off is grayed out, they will not be able to update the APIM the easy way and will have to use the method in TSB 22-2404 to get it to update. Most dealers will just the APIM won't update and replace it with a new one. They are on back-order, so if that is the case, you can expect to go pick up your truck in a few days and take it back when they're done.
Btw: Good luck getting them to listen to anything that you say. Telling them that some guy on the internet told you what needs to be done to fix your truck does not usually work out well. Every thing you say to the service advisor will go in one ear and out the other. Be prepared to be told your truck is up to date.
