Lol... Just recieved notice that 4.2.3 installed
Thank you for the feedback. It is much appreciated. I have been getting deep sleep mode situations on my ford pass app. I keep my truck in the garage at night and there are plenty of opportunities for it to receive OTA updates. I have it scheduled for Monday mornings at 2am. When I click check for updates, it says there is one in the Queue. Ive never seen anything that would let me install it at that time. It seems like it never accepts it on the scheduled times, Is this because of the battery? I was going to get the Mongoose and do everything myself. Should I change the battery and go from there? Im not sure how this OTA stuff really works, but my understanding is that I will probably have to wait around for a while. WOuld it be stupid for me to buy a mongoose?
VIN you provided is for a 2108 F150. Repost with the right VIN and I will gladly check it out.
No OTA history in the past 60 days and no OTA in your queue at this time. Based on your current Sync version, your truck is fairly behind on updates. The updates you need to get caught up are older ones that Ford rarely pushes out. Nothing you can do but wait for get the tools needed to do it yourself.
You should get the battery checked out and replaced if it is bad regardless of your update situation. Nobody knows how the OTA's work. They seem to be sent out randomly in waves. No way to predict when you will get one and no way to trigger one being sent to you. Buying a Mongoose is many things, but stupid is not one of them. The only thing stupid around here is Ford's garbage OTA process. If you are not in a rush and don't want to spend $600 for one, get in line to borrow one of mine here:
4.2.1 has been sent to you twice and failed both times. Very weird as this update has shown a very high success rate. I wouldn't worry about it. Many people including myself are having phone connectivity issues with that update. You may have dodged a bullet. Eventually, they we resend it to your truck.

I see they performed some APIM related work on 1/10, but I cannot tell if they did it right. All I see is a repair validation code being pulled, but the notes say the APIM was replaced and configured, but FDRS does not show an APIM configuration or PMI done. Maybe @Jesse-Infotainment can take a peek in there and give you better insight.
There we go. No OTA history in the past 60 days and no OTA in queue at this time. Your Sync version appears to be blank in the system. When you can, go to your truck's touchscreen. Go to setting, general and find "about sync". Take a pic of what you see there and post it here.

Oh yea....you're very behind. That software it about two years old. Your truck has not recorded a successful OTA since December of 2021. Detailed history is only stored on Ford's servers for 60 days, so I cannot see exactly what the last update was. That Sync version is past the one that is known to break the OTA process on 2021 trucks, though. I don't see why your truck hasn't had a successful update in such a long time, but it hasn't. Based on what you do for a living, you seem to be a prime candidate to perform the updates yourself. You'd have to invest in the tool needed, or let me know if you want to get on the waiting list to borrow one of mine:
That's because your truck was most likely built with the latest software on it already. You don't need to worry about the OTA issues you're seeing here.
