Could you check my VIN please for OTA? I just bought this 2022 a month ago, and the Sync page says I have an update but I don't know how old it is. My current sync version is 4.0.22082, and it says there is a power update available, and I have everything set and my FordPass app works, so I assume that the modem is active, but I am not sure if the Ford mothership knows to deliver an update.

I'd appreciate it!

It is. I also never got PU1010 but I have gotten via FDRS 4.2.1 through 4.2.4. So even if PU1010 is something we haven’t gotten but should have, it isn’t slowing down the release of later updates.

4.2.1 & 4.2.2 came 4 days apart...thinking (hoping) 4.2.3 comes on the 28th and 4.2.4 on the 2nd of May. What are the chances? I am not holding my breath....LOL

I thought this was too good not to share with the class. I have had 2 ford dealerships check my truck for updates. The last one had it for 3 days and said its all up to date. Sent me this picture (attached below) of what they see in FDRS. Idk whether to laugh or cry at how little the technicians at ford know their own software. Does everyone else see what I see that I have a ton of updates available?

I believe your assumption is correct about the dealer visit last fall; does not look like they did anything. as you received 22177 ota, Ford will eventually send you more ota. FDRS

No OTA history in the past 60 days and no OTA in your queue at this time. The update your truck is showing is most expired at this point. Nothing to do but wait for it to be resent.

2.8.1 was sent to you twice. The first time was back in January. Your truck downloaded all the files, but you never initiated the update to start and it eventually expired. I am assuming you didn't have an auto-update time scheduled on your truck.

The second time it was sent to you was 5 days ago, and it failed a few days later. The error code in PTS says "master reset". Did you do a Sync reset on your truck two days ago? Did Fordpass ever alert you you had an update pending?

This update requires the vehicle to be parked and inhibited for about an hour and a half while it installs. This particular update is notorious for failing due to low battery voltage. If you do not have a battery charger, get one as you will need it if you want this update to install the next time it is sent to you. After you get this one, the following update is 2.8.2 which will enable Bluecruise.

Your dealer did nothing in terms of updates when they had your truck.

2.7.4 has failed the two time it was sent to you. Just like above, you never gave your truck the green light to install it. This update also require the vehicle to be inhibited but only for 30 minutes. The good news for you, is that you have it in your queue right now ready to install. Go to your truck, and hit the "check for updates" button. You should be prompted to install it.

After you get 2.7.4, then you need 2.8.1 and then 2.8.2 to enable Bluecruise.

Edit: Your truck is recording consistent DTC's for low battery voltage. This could present a problem for this update to install. Your truck has been complaining about low battery voltage for the past 60 days every time you drive it.

You got 4.2.1 yesterday. Based on the rest of your recent OTA history, you are very close to being fully up to date as far as OTA updates goes.

It is still stuck trying to download the files. It is a very common problem with 3.5.3. Your truck is not the problem.
