No OTA updates since September 2022, dealer completed APIM updates in December, but still no BlueCruise. Is there anything pending?

Very confused about your situation. Your truck is on Sync 22294 which is the latest software for a 2021 truck. I see your truck does have the BC option in the window sticker. You should have BlueCruise. Are you sure you know how to set your truck so tat it actually turns on?

On 3/21, I got 4.2.1 without issue. Starting 3/23, 22-PU1010-MIL-QL has attempted to install ~4 times per week (each of my scheduled times), but fails. In the AM when I start the truck, I get a message that a pending update needs to install but requires vehicle down time. So I shut it off, lock it, come back ~30 min later and head to work. Next scheduled day, same thing happens. Ford pass keeps giving me a message to "help install". Tonight at midnight is one of my scheduled update times. I've had the truck hooked up to the battery tender since early afternoon, so hopefully that helps. Any idea what to do to get this one to go through? Thanks!

Honestly, I do not know what that means or why it keeps failing. These PU-10xx updates have gone through for most people with no issues. This update has a trigger that lasts 30 days instead of 14, so you still have almost two weeks left for it to go through. I just don't know what you can do to help it go through. You don't seem to be doing anything wrong.

It keeps failing saying OTAM conditions not met and the error code is:

"errorCode":"CooldownFailed(8)"

Honestly, I do not know what that means or why it keeps failing. These PU-10xx updates have gone through for most people with no issues. You don't seem to be doing anything wrong.

You yourself? No. Your dealer should be able to .

You can also try sending a message with your VIN to @Jesse-Infotainment explaining your situation to see if he can help. There may be files he can send you that you put on a USB file that will allow you to update the maps yourself.

Maps are updates VIA OTA and are an overlay.

The actual Stored maps I havent seen one update for them. There are map files for the 23 that are more updated than the ones we have but for whatever reason they havent seemed to update the maps for 21-22.

@Jesse-Infotainment , thanks for the info. Is there anything that a dealer can do for the BlueCruise map overlay. I picked up my truck in November of 21 and have been trying to get BC ever since.

Customer Satisfaction Program 22P08 – Supplement #2 was issued in October 2022 so the dealer can update maps.
Maybe you can convince the dealer to "finish" the BlueCruise update by applying this CSP to your truck..

His truck has the BC updates and then some. His Sync is fully up to date. He probably just has the expired date on BC maps that need to be updated for it to work.

Thanks for looking into that. Same thing happened this morning. Let it sit for about 30 minutes before starting it up again and heading to work. Fordpass sent the same message about helping to install again this morning, about 5-10 minutes after I initiated the installation.

@Jesse-Infotainment , do you have any idea what might be responsible for the "CooldownFailed" error I am getting?

I, for one, think this is a GREAT idea.

When you ask for a VIN check, please specify if you are looking for OTA updates, or if you need to see what specific modules have updates pending on FDRS.
Hi Rugedraw. First and foremost, you're basically doing the lords work here. Much appreciated.
Any way i can ask you to check my VIN? 1FTEW1CP0MFB10133.
Long story short, took my truck in to the shop for 10 days and all they did was reset me back to factory settings. Stating all my modules were communicating correctly and up to date. Showed them the 9 or so failed attempts at downloading the software and mentioned TSB 22-2117. Im still on OTA version 2.7.3 and sync is on version 473. Thank you!!!

They did not update a single thing. The straight lied to you when they said everything is up to date. Your truck is still on Sync 22177, so it is behind and I am sure your list of available updates is long. Since Ford does not pay them the hours and hours of labors it takes to update modules, dealers will always give you an excuse when you ask them to update your truck. It is not their fault as nobody likes to work for free.
