This part is new. I haven't seen/heard of that before. My truck and several others say "You are up to date" with Auto Updates toggled ON and 3.5.3 PENDING (and the full description) when Auto Updates are toggled OFF.

So you've identified yet another head scratching variable/scenario. Otherwise you nailed it

Did you (the others) already have a schedule set up for when updates could run?

I did not have a schedule set at the time I googled it off the AM. I use to have auto updates off due to bricking concerns I’d read in the FDRS thread prior to getting the truck. I had to hit accept when 3.5.2 came thru as well. I attribute no schedule being the equivalent of start now.

I (maybe stupidly?) added a schedule after accepting the message. I’d assume it goes by what was there at the point it was triggered (no schedule) so hoping adding one after the fact doesn’t bugger it up. I am not totally sure why I added it after…my coffee hasn’t done outs job yet.

Now that I’m thinking about it, I have seen reference to toggling updates on/off as a remedy, but not the specifics of pending vs accept.

I don’t actually expect the update to complete, but glad to see it try. I’m on 3.5.2, never received 3.5.3, so that it’s going directly to 3.5.3.2 may be related to what it came with (job2 ‘22)

Interesting. First 2023 I see that has it built in. Your truck has a built date of 11/23, but it shows that software was loaded onto it on 11/24. It looks like someone at the factory updates your modules before it left the plant. That's why I asked if you had already.

Edit: I do remember another member here saying he has Sync 22230 which is what your truck shows it has. He also had a 2023.

Yes, I already had a schedule setup and Auto Updates was toggled ON. Everything I'm seeing is the schedule does nothing if the OTA package isn't flagged to inhibit the vehicle. The schedule only allows you WHEN the vehicle is inhibited if the package is flagged to inhibit. I wonder if I would have been prompted to accept 3.5.3 if my Auto Updates had been toggled OFF

Anyway, you should be sent 3.5.3.2 because you have a '22 vehicle ('21s get 3.5.3 - same thing mostly). Neither of those packages are flagged to inhibit the vehicle, so theoretically the schedule shouldn't matter at all. And I haven't seen anywhere that toggling Auto Updates off/on triggers anything other than a different message on the screen (You are up to date vs. 3.5.3.x Is Pending). I hope you get it! Try resetting your Sync 4. That’s all it took for me after a failed update like yours on 1/26. I got 3.5.3 yesterday and 3.5.4 today.

I was pleased to see that the first day I got it. Just wish I could get it to reactivate so I could use app and other connectivity features.

Coincidence. I reset it all the time. Had to do it twice yesterday when my truck starting making the crazy speaker noises they are rarely known to do.

Nope.....not yet. I did get full screen AA activated by Google today, so I may give these morons another $50 to update the truck myself when I get my Mongoose back from the member I loaned it to.

Yea, I did this a few days ago. Didnt appear to change anything.
