Thank you! I was mainly confused on why it says up to date and doesn't show the version it was last updated to.
As I recall, it won’t show in update version in updates section of synch until the first one runs. I don’t remember seeing anything for my truck built in June, until 3.5.2 loaded in mid September.

I had no idea about the Jan 30 update being available until the good folks here verified ( @antho & @rugedraw ) as the truck and Ford pass didn’t notify me yesterday. Knowing it was this AM with @antho checking, the truck said ‘nope’ when I checked updates. Only after turning them off did it pony up that out was hiding one.

Point being, it’s not totally sorted and the generous folks here are best source. And you may have to futz with synch to coax it to update.

With my DL started, I am curious to see if it works given the poor cell reception here.

Careful here... There is nothing you can do in Sync to trigger an OTA update to get sent, downloaded, or installed despite the youtube video routines and rain dances and thoughts and prayers many of us (myself included) are doing these days. Clicking Check For Updates 100 times does nothing to encourage the updates, nor does VIN checks in PTS, checking the Ford website dashboard, etc.

After the update has successfully downloaded in full and been signed off by the truck, the updates do seem to complete most frequently during or immediately after being driven. I think that's the only pattern/behavior I'd agree with...

Hence the operative word MAY being used ;) No one can provide concretes in this fledgling system.

Conversely some affirmative wording with the above patterns implying they provide some assurances, may not, though absolute requisites in the process flow. We have seen em stick for no reason and updates expire.

I don’t know the youtube vids or the other odd beliefs (chicken bones and voodoo lol), but I shared an albeit anecdotal observation that seem to trigger my download. Specifically turning updates off after it reported no updates, which immediately brought up notice 3.5.3.2 was available and asked to accept.

Truck sat and hadn’t been driven for 4 days contrary to the belief truck must be driven. Not being contrary, just pointing out that belief my not be any more valid than others, even if more folks buy into it. It’s likely an attribution error. Fact is more people drive their trucks daily, being a daily event, drawing a correlation to the day of an update would be questionable.

I get some will say its just coincidental timing as it’s not repeatable, but nothing in OTA seems to be consistent. No one can prove or disprove what quirks the mothership reads as a go sign at this point.

Folks report these anecdotes and they do seem to happen. How many coincidences does it take to go from voodoo to something else?

I mean, come on, pops up a second after turning off updates though it sat there for 48 hours doing nothing? Seems to take it from correlation to possible causation. This time lol. Not that it would again.

If it actually updates though, not just downloading, I’ll take it as a sign to go get a lotto ticket.

New to this site. I picked my 2023 last week and the connectivity has stopped working. I tried all the resets and other items mentioned here. Would you be able to check my VIN?

This part is new. I haven't seen/heard of that before. My truck and several others say "You are up to date" with Auto Updates toggled ON and 3.5.3 PENDING (and the full description) when Auto Updates are toggled OFF.

So you've identified yet another head scratching variable/scenario. Otherwise you nailed it

Your truck's Fordpass is not set up. I can't see any history on it.

Ok, it was setup but I reset everything and now can't get it to reactivate. I guess my modem is not responding. Thanks for looking.

Your truck was sent 3.5.3 on 1/26 and it has been trying to download the files for the update since then.
