We reformatted before downloading to usb , once downloaded he named it sync before we plugged it in we did a master reset it would read usb but it didn’t do nothing with it we did that 2 times I have read that some people left it longer then a few minutes. Ford said they’ll do it but charging me $300

lol The dealer said they'll do it for $300? I would love to see them try.

You just have to leave the USB in there. It will take 2-4 weeks (maybe longer) of you driving the truck as you normally would, and will kick off when you least expect it. Then you just follow the on-screen intructions.

Bet I’ll give the usb stick another try hopefully ill be back with good news to be honest I just want the larger screen I’ve thought about swapping apim but I’ll be patient

My truck has been in the shop for updates, hoping to improve phone connectivity issues. They couldn't update the APIM because Ford removed it. I can't check for pending updates anymore, but you have an APIM update hanging in your queue for the past few days. Your truck is not pinging the server back to accept it. I would try disconnecting the negative battery cable from both of the 12v batteries in your truck for 20 minutes and then check for updates again when you connect them back up.

Yes I have a usb with the update , I just was impatient and removed it but my buddy still has it so what I’ll probably do according to what I’m reading. I’ll grab the usb from him and wait to see if it updates. Should I wait for the apim to update via usb and then update all other modules? or drop off to him and have him update whatever he can and then take usb with me as well. Sorry guys I just got the truck 2 weeks ago and I knew something was off cause when I unlock it after it sitting over night or after a while I heard a loud pop which is heard is from the same problem… updates

Waiting for the usb to kick off the update sucks! I don’t drive my truck a lot (I have a work van) and one of my usb updates took almost six months to finally update! But it WILL happen.

Luckily mine has been responding very well still a lot of updates behind but it’s doing it. Most it’s took with the usb is a day but when I leave it over night it does it for sure just playing catch up with these updates

I have a battery enhancement update that failed last week and it will not re-attempt. I have it hooked up to a battery maintainer and it still will not re-attempt. Can anyone give me insight as to why it is failing?

It failed due to some hash error on the server side. Nothing you did wrong. You have to wait for them to resend it.
