Request VIN Lookup Thread

As far as the OTA is not installing, this is what PTS is showing. Maybe some one can interpret the reason showing. To me, it is something to do with the battery. I am only guessing tho.

To a complete amateur like me it certainly seems like it doesn't like the battery SOC for some reason, even though it was reported as 97%.

Hopefully someone else here can interpret and clarify.

Your battery stats are near perfect. OEM battery sound be at 70 capacity and soc maxes at 100. Just keep trying and it'll go through. It's just being a little b*tch.

I was right; they didn't program the new APIM correctly. The good news is, our resident guru can fix it easily. This is what I need from you:

Turn on the truck and go to AM radio; which station doesn't matter. Hold the seek forward on the steering wheel and the radio controls below the screen down at the same until the speaker test pops up.

Then, scroll using the arrows on the steering wheel until you get to Apim Diagnostics.

Click that and then scroll to. Part numbers.

Get me a pic of that screen.

Does it make a difference that is not OEM battery at this point? I installed aftermarket H9 and reset BMS about a week or so ago. Not surprisingly my OTA updates started right after that.

Oh H7 would be 80 capacity max and H8 90 if I remember correctly, but either way, the stats are high enough.

Ok, everything is fixed on Ford's side now. You won't see anything different on your truck, but you're good to start getting updates now or update it yourself if you decide to take that route. You are now showing a GWM update available that wasn't there before, so to may get lucky and get your 1st OTA soon. There is no way to predict when an update will be sent to you, but the connection between your truck and Ford's servers is now officially fixed.

I'll be embarking on a cruise in a few hours, so if you have any other questions, I'll still be around for a bit to answer them.

Can I get another VIN lookup on 1FTFW1RG2MFC61714? I did a full FDRS update a few months ago, but haven't received any OTA activity. I did notice my center cluster settings were reset the other day, and as well that I never reconfigured my WiFi settings but no indicated OTA activity sense the FDRS update. Mine's a Raptor with no BC, so perhaps that's why.

You have quite a few showing.....Mongoose & FDRS time I think.

PTS is alsos showing that on Jan 5th OTA failed.

I just bought it and it looks like it was never activated, so I'm hoping it'll pick up stuff now. Auto updates are now on but I'm not sure if I also need to set a schedule. It does say no updates available when I check though.

I had another look on PTS, there is no history before January 10, 2023. @rugedraw would be able to explain better than I can. I am new to PTS. Have some thing figured out...
