Hi, Looking to see how much of a delta I have between what was built and what is current. Thanks

Hi folks, after a frustrating experience with an order, I purchased a used PB (VIN 1FTFW1ED6MFC03178) from another dealer. Based on Carfax, it was originally delivered in July 2021 but as best I can tell, hasn't had a single OTA since then. As I don't have the software/equipment to manually force an update, I have an appointment set up with a dealer next Monday to hopefully get things moving. Is that the right place to start? I have 2.0 active so would like to at least get that activated sooner than later. Any help/recommendations would be appreciated.
FDRS says your build date was 1 Jul '21.

You are the overall hands down winner this week for the sheer number of updates available:

There has only ever been one programming event in your truck's history and that was on the 26th of July for a key fob.

The very early and likely original APIM revision you have means you are unlikely to get any OTAs until both that and your GWM (gateway) updates are done at a minimum (TCU updates will follow I'm sure). Given your trim level you were probably supposed to have BC as well. Look for a competent shop that can follow instructions, has decently fast internet, has and will actually use the recommended powersupply, is up-to-date on FDRS (currently 34.5.2) and have them reference the attached.

Any ideas what this means? I have been getting it every other day for a week or so. I have auto updates on but set it to check at 11:30 every night. What is it trying to do?

It looks like your update got interrupted by you using the truck?

That's probably a full day of programming. Is Woody Anderson your dealer?
Appreciate the lookup.

Yes to Woody Anderson. Good experiences so far at the Quick Lane in Madison.

I like my truck as-is and I’ve been holding off on the recall work. I think OTA updates are a slippery slope that should be warrantied for life.

Mine is McClary.

I do my own updates.

The problem with holding off on recall related stuff like on the powertrain is that improvements were made in things like shift points etc. that affect the overall smoothness of the truck. I'm a firm believer in doing every update that comes along because I don't think the engineers would have dictated the changes for no reason. But maybe that's just me.

Just looking to see how behind the factory is compared to recently released updates. Built late November. Thanks!

Bought a used Job 1 PB Platinum about a month and a half ago. I don't have the Bluecruise update and feel like I'm far behind but dealer said everything available was done when I had it in for recalls. I did recently get 2.7.3 update on 12/2. Could someone check my VIN 1FTFW1ED3MFB06312

Thanks so much in Advance

Have they used the engineering helpline?
I think (and assume) so. They have for other issues, and the wiring/ground related problems were only fixed after they flew their Field Engineer out to my dealer. They were able to do some of the updates when it was in; APIM and IPC (I would have to check my service orders). It seems pretty clear that the GWM is still the outstanding item to update though. Whether they don't have the right USB to Ethernet adapter, or cable, I'm not sure...

Anyway, seeing as the software update campaign ended in October, I'll probably pick up a VCMII or a mongoose and one of the recommended USB to Ethernet adapters at some point. Working in the industry, it irks me especially to be running out of date software.
