Nothing has been sent to your truck since you got 4.2.4 in early May.

I thought for sure that the F150 saved message had something to do with the truck receiving software updates. I has no pattern to when it shows up on the sync screen but will happen constantly for up to a week and then disappear until another random time.

I’ve seen this several times myself and I haven’t gotten an OTA since February. At one time, there was a thread with people trying to figure out what “F150 Saved“ meant. I don’t think it was ever definitively resolved. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/f-150-saved.11900/

Thanks man! I don't know why I assumed my modules would all be up-to-date as long as I was receiving OTAs without issue. I guess I'll have to consider FDRS or trying my luck at a dealer :/.

I can give you a hand if you'd like. I have all we would need for FDRS, charger, mongoose, and laptop. PM me if you want help.

Coincidentally, I noticed my truck saying "F150 saved" after I start it a few times in the past few days since you posted about it. Not sure how long it has been doing it without my noticing it.

See attached. On the third line where it says CIP, the software on your truck is from 3/18/2021 which is the same date your truck was built at the factory. Your truck has never recorded an OTA and is on Sync 20301 which is faulty software from 2020 known to break the OTA process.

I always wonder if THEY perhaps believe that they are telling you the truth? I mean, MAYBE they really don't have a clue how any of this works?

Regardless of the reason they say such things, it's an abysmal state of affairs at the typical dealership right now. The disconnect between the manufacturer and the factory service representative is vast.

When I got the truck back from the dealership I got a FDRS license and tried updating modules. I spent about 9 hours updating different things- but could not get anywhere with the APIM.

Yesterday the dealership installed the long awaited third APIM, said congratulations, and gave it back to me. But it seems to be behind still as far as sync versions/ updates go.

They tried to PMI the APIM twice and both attempts failed. I am not sure if the APIM is configured properly on your truck. Maybe @Jesse-Infotainment can provide more info.
