Remote start not working

My truck has less than 4000 miles and this morning onwards the remote start on the Ford pass app is not starting the truck. Any idea why? There was a false intrusion alarm that I cleared.

Any other issues like approach lights not coming on? Dome light not on when open door? Deep sleep? This sounds like a weak battery issue that has come up several times.

happens to me sometimes too, i think its a connection/internet issue. it's random.

My remote start in the app always worked and then it would not for a couple of days last week. However, I just tried it again it worked. I am sitting in the exact same spot as always so I cannot tell you why but maybe a truck battery issue?

I've noticed the last few weeks my truck will not start with the app either, and other weird things were happening. Then last Friday when I left for work the battery was dead. I replaced it, and now everything works and auto start via app is pretty fast. My truck is 3 years old with 56k on the clock and yours seem pretty new, but it could still be a battery issue.

I replaced my battery at 1 year do to deep sleep issues. Did it in my dime. Went to H7 and an interstate not a single issue in over a year.

Hmmm how do I find out if it's a battery issue and is it covered under warranty given the newness of the truck?

You can try, most have said dealership say battery fine. Those that have had dealer change it out just get another ford battery. The Ford batteries seem to be the problem. Maybe a defective batch? Who knows

Yeah I noticed yesterday that mine doesn’t either. No door unlock or lock, no start but the fob works fine. Also noticed that my car play has been dropping at random driving down the road. Irritating

Newbie on board here. What is a TCM? My f pass has never worked consistently enough to say it works despite 2 different dealerships trying and hours spent on the phone with f pass. I would like it to start the truck in the winter because it doesn`t idle long enough to warm up without extending 15m. f pass will show green vehicle indicators started and extended by 15m but go out and the truck never started. That`s the only thing I need it for so basically it`s just another unusable feature on the truck and have deleted it because it`s not reliable. I`ve already been stranded multiple times with the battery issues and dealt with them so I don`t think it`s that again and I also have 100m internet service. With winter coming on any clues or short cuts would be appreciated.

Yes I can and that`s what I do. I give it a double shot of 15M because that`s as long as it will run on the fob. IT would be nice if I could do 30 and not have to go to the vehicle and start it twice and verify it`s running. It`s not an end of the world thing just more aggravation.

Have you checked in sync under idle time? I can set mine for 30 min
