Anyone know at what point they decide to make something a recall? This just happened on my 2021 XLT and every dealer is 10 days out to even look at it. How do you park a new F150 in a major city with no window?

Good afternoon. Could you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer? I would like to see what I can do to help with your truck's window issue.
Just had the same issue happen to me yesterday, passenger side rear window went down and now won’t come back up, can hear it clicking when I use the switch. Oddly it happened after I had activated and then deactivated the rear window locks. Of course it also happened on a Saturday evening and I have to street park my vehicle in downtown Boston. Hopefully the dealer can get me in first thing tomorrow.

Crossing my fingers for no rain and no thieves! Do you think Ford will cover water damage or stolen items under warranty?
I just had this happen on my 2023 F150 Powerboost. Can’t get into a dealer for a week. It was an hour after the truck wouldn’t start and kept giving Stop Safely messages. Finally got it started after using the Ford app as suggested here. Then an hour later, the window. This electronic stuff is kinda spooky considering the service advisor at a dealer 20 miles away didn’t sound confident.

Same thing happened to my 2023 F150 yesterday. 7000 miles. Dealer originally told me a week + before they could even see me to diagnose. Seriously? They are at least "trying to look at it" if I leave it for them all day today. Fingers crossed they can at least roll it back up.

Good morning, David! I would be glad to help you out with these rear window concerns if you like. Just shoot us a direct message with your VIN and dealer name/location, and I'll get right on it. Thank you!

I had this happen last week. Took it to the dealer Monday they got the window back up. Said the performed some reset. Went and picked the truck up, rolled the window back down and it would not go up again. Service advisor took the truck back in came back a few hours later. Window was rolled back up, I haven't rolled it back down. The window is getting power when I hit the switch to roll up because I can hear it. I don't know if it will short again when rolled back down.

Has anyone had this problem resolved with out replacing the driver's door switch?

I joined the rear window club today. Rolled the rear windows down leaving the grocery store, and the rear passenger window went all the way down and sure enough, wouldn't go up.

I ended up taking off the door panel and supplying 12 volt power to the motor to get it back up. I'll be calling the dealer on Monday...

2023 PB Lariat, with just over 4k miles. Fun times.

Not sure I qualify for the rear window club, however, my sunroof won’t open, the shade won’t close, the rear slider won’t work, and the rear windows won’t open. Seems a little excessive.

Guess the only positive is all the windows are in the closed position.

Obviously a dealership visit is in the queue.

Add me to this list… 7000km, extremely disappointing. Rear passenger window went down but is stuck open. I know the service dept at my dealership is weeks out from scheduling anything. Fingers crossed, they can roll it up for me at least in the meantime.

Back passenger window won’t go back up. Happened Wednesday, will be at dealer on Friday.

Let’s see what they say

Happened yesterday same way as described by others. Drove straight to a service center where they connected the motor to external power, rolled window up and kept motor disconnected until I can bring it back in to have new master switch installed

Sounds like a classic "batch" issue with a specific component?
I believe we saw something similar with a run of 2021 truck's rear passenger window switch.

Dealer said it was the master switch and swapped it out for me in a day.

Service manager diagnosed the issue immediately when I told him and he’d seen a bunch. Likely caused by a bad batch as Snakebitten pointed out.

The real bummer is they dinged my truck bringing it out so that’s a whole other hassle now.

‘22 Lightning Lariat. Grrr. Window stuck down and pulsing periodically. Weekend before a holiday. Not optimistic on quick turn around to fix.

Just got back from the dealer for this very issue. The master control switch on the driver side goes out and they have to replace it... apparently, I was the 6th they have had this week and it is a pretty common issue for our trucks and the explorer (uses the same one) they tell me.

I think it happens in batches.
About 1 1/2 years ago we had a rash of passenger side rear switches go bad. There's a thread.

Now it seems to have popped up again but it's the master switch.
