Mine was built late December '21, definitely seems odd that it's happening so frequently.

I ended up wrapping the whole top of the door in the plastic wrap that you use for moving furniture, seems to be working at least decently. We're apparently getting torrential rain tonight.

Of course my local dealer was "slammed" on a Monday, and said they wouldn't be able to take it today unless I left it. Mercifully they offered a rental for me, so we shall see what the problem is. Need to get this fixed before I travel to NC on Saturday.

Anyone who was reached out to by Ford get any additional info on the issue? I'm seeing other threads with the same problem.

My PB was built Sep 21...Bad batch of master switch for windows.....?

Mine just did the same thing today. Rear passenger went down and won’t roll back up. Seems weird it’s happening to the same window. Will be calling the dealer in the morning.
Hi there! I can look into your F-150’s window concerns on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your F-150’s VIN?

Soonest appointment the dealer could get me is Friday. I’m assuming they won’t have the part, so I hope they can atleast get the window rolled up..

What did the dealership do to get everyone's window rolled up? My truck is starting week number 3 of sitting at the dealership with plastic taped over the window. Of course I understand there's a national backorder; but there's no ETA for the part being available.

I'm lucky and Enterprise owns it as a fleet truck, but I'm stuck with a Tacoma rental and I wish Ford would just manually get my window up and call me when the part comes in.

I don't know exactly how they do it but I would think that they can move the connection from the right rear window to the left and use that button to roll up the window....

My dealership "borrowed" a switch from another truck on the lot, rolled up the window, then unplugged the motor so the window wouldn't come back down.

Brilliant!
A man using both logic and critical thinking.

And the truck can be put back into service until the part arrives.

I can't believe a dealership can in good conscious park a customers brand new truck for weeks because the window wouldn't roll up. The world is truly upside down these days. ?

My dealership got my window rolled back up and ordered the switch. They didn’t say how they got it rolled up, but it was only there for a couple hours.

I have a 2022 F-150 Lariat which is 5 months old and today my passenger rear window decided to not roll up (apparently a trend with the current year F-150s).

This issue caused me to cancel travel two hours into a family out-of-town trip. It is a rainy Sunday and I am hoping I can be seen by my dealer first thing Monday.

My 2022 Lariat had the same issue, build date November 2021. It happened on a several day fishing trip, the closest dealer looked at it and said it needed a window motor, they covered it with plastic which lasted about five miles. I found a piece of cardboard at a local supermarket and with some painters tape made a dandy cardboard window, lasted the 145 mile drive back home. Went to our local dealer who replaced the master switch and had my truck back to me the same day.

Failed to mention my truck has only about 2600 miles, have had it since Jan. of this year, no place to go on a regular basis since retiring.

I had both front motors replaced, but i had bounce back issues on driver side and lost the auto-up on pass. side. So far, so good.

Update: Thumbs up to my local dealer, Red River Ford in Cabot, Arkansas!

Although they didn’t have any open service appointments for several days, they were able to get my truck in and get the window rolled up. The part is on order and the window is disabled in the up position until then.
