Rear light bar wiring question

Hi All, I’m putting an LED strip under the tailgate that uses the 4 pin. The problem with that is the computer will be told that a trailer is connected and then disconnect the sensors. Am I correct in my thinking? Is there another way? Tail light harness perhaps? Thanks for any ideas. ‘24 Supercrew, btw

Some light bars have an adapter to connect to tail lights and avoid that issue. I haven't bought one yet but the one I was looking at has an adapter.

I'm also looking at a Rampage led light bar for my 24 SC. I had one on a 2011 F150 and 2018 F350. On both I had to manually wire to a 4 pin connector seperate from factory to stop picking up a trailer indication. I tried a harness to add a 2nd 7 and 4 pin connector to no avail. I have a pro acess tailgate and noticed a bracket that would interfere with light. Would removing it cause issues? Not sure. Any ideas? What did you end up doing?

I added a couple of lights to the back of my ladder rack and tied them to the trailer circuit, but now truck says there is a trailer attached and have lost many of the back up features, BLIS, and often get a trailer fault module error.

Allows you to connect into the tail light circuit when the tail lights and brake lights are separate bulbs. Orange and Red.

Will also be tying in the canopy/rack lights to this as well to get them off the trailer circuit.
