You say both bolts are intact but could one be loose by chance. This is the exact axle sound I got when one broke and if one has loosened I suspect the sound would be similar.

OK it was bothering me so I took the caps off to verify axle bolts are tight and they indeed are.
Now back to sleep.

Found I still have powertrain warranty.
Took it in.....they couldn't replicate and a quick look saw nothing.
I can still get it to do it tho it's not as easy.
I'll drive it and see what happens

Same noise as mine. Has been happening since at least 15,000km, have 26k now. Nobody can figure it out. Wondering if anyone has had any resolution to this.

I had a resonator delete on....took it off....wether coincidence or not the noise disappeared.
Me and a mechanic friend had some theories about that.
Anyway I put the resonator delete back on other day(seems like spring here).

I'll be paying alot of attention to any weird noises with the windows down.
I'll update if I have anything to update about.

Ha.. Same province, and the reason I'm pissed off about this again. It's finally warm enough to have the window down and now all I hear is click clack. Lol.

I'm booked into a different dealer Monday so we'll see what they say. Kinda sick of the "level kit, bigger tires, different driveline angle" blah blah blah.

So i took my '22 Powerboost in and Ford ended up replacing the rear axels under 23s65 which is a recall. So far so good, i'm not hearing the clinking noise in the back end. I've also noticed that i had a rental truck when they had mine and it didn't roll back as far as mine did previous to the replacement. Fingers crossed, this is the fix. Good luck to you guys!

As of today I have not had the tick noise occur again.
Windows have been open quite a bit too.
Resonator delete is on....all exhaust hangars have been lubed with silicone(exhaust is stretched as far forward as possible to accommodate the resonator delete).
If the tick occurs again I'll try a few things but as of now it's still a mystery.

I had the same sounds. First trip to the dealer they replaced the axel shaft. Sounds came back shortly after. Second trip to dealer they replaced the driveshaft. Sound came back again. They put in the temporary recall fix. Never fixed the sound. Now they say there is nothing they can do until Ford solves the engineering issue. I love everything about my truck except when the windows are down, then it makes me crazy!
