Rear drivers side tail light keeps going out

My rear drivers side tail light keeps going out. Blinkers and brake lights work fine, just the tail light or driving light. Anyone else have this problem. Its a 2023 F150 XLT that ive literally had for about 5 months.

Your tail lights a halogen, so 2 filaments. I would check the connections to your running lights inside the fender and under the truck. Sounds like a bad connection because both bulbs are off.

What kanuck said……maybe ground or a loose pin.

is it bolt blowing the bulb or simply just not illuminating?

It seems to me it is a ground somewhere that is temporarily fixed when you change bulbs. Maybe a bad socket? Let your dealer fix it. They have done it before.

This just started happening to my 21 F-150 STX. I did switch the Halogen to LED (Headlight Revolutions LEDs). The drivers brake bulb only the low light is out. When I brake it works. It does this intermittently. Let us know if you found a solution.

Had the same issue on my 22 PB. Started a few months after I bought it 2.5 years ago. Swapped the bulbs to Sylvania Zevo's and applied some dielectric grease to the contacts in the receptacles after bending them out a little bit for better contact and have not had a problem since. These bulbs are insanely bright too. You do need to trim a pair of tabs off for them to fit the receptacles as well as disable the rear blinker hyper-flash with Forscan.
