I've had a front camera service fault on my truck now for 2 months. Every dealer in my area has a 1.5+ month wait time to even book an appointment. I finally bring my truck in after waiting a month and a half and they refuse a loaner and say the tech that needs to look at it is so busy they don't know when he will have the time to look at it. So without a loaner and no transportation I am forced to pick the truck up and try my luck at another dealership in September.

I should have sold this truck back to Ford when i had the chance.

My dealer (Fred Beans Ford of West Chester Pennsylvania) could get you in within a couple days, and their service department is EXCELLENT. I don't understand why some regions have such a long wait for service.

I should have sold this truck back to Ford when i had the chance.
I have Ford CAS # and I am still awaiting my appointment now 3+weeks which I was told will be 4 weeks out here in South East Michigan and no dealers have loaners

Id say this is more of a dealer issue .
Same shi* here in So cal where they sell a ton of F150's . Long wait times just to even take the car in,
One thing i will point out , coming out of a 2019 GMC Sierra , is that GM gives you a rental even for oil changes ( if they have cars) no questions asked . I hate that you have to purchase a rental deal/agreement to be able to get a rental right away and not have to wait for them to approve it.

I took my 21 in yesterday without an appointment for a leaking pinion seal on the rear diff. The dealer fixed it the same day ( got it back @5:30). They also did the wiper arm recall and the works oil change.

That is the quickest they have ever gotten to a problem for me.

I left GM because all the dealers around here stopped doing loaners and have partnered with Hertz to provide 'discount rentals'.

I went literally next door to Ford where the sales person told me service gives loaners no matter what (even cars off the used lot during Covid). Lo-and behold, I needed service immediately after taking delivery and I got the same BS from Ford; no loaners, stupid long wait times.

Disappointing, to say the least.

Definitely sounds like the dealer, I live in Pa., was on vacation in western Montana, check engine light came on for misfire on my 2021 Ford F150 Hybrid, I was fairly close to Kalispell Ford in Montana, I drove in got in line for service when they opened in the morning, told me they were very booked for the day but that they would try to get me in. Anyway 3 and a half hours I was on my way. Thank you Kalispell Ford you saved my vacation.

Where are you located in SC, or who is your dealer? Last time I went for an oil change they told me about the recall but no word from them yet (Fairway in Greenville). I have mixed feelings about them: on one hand they are 'OK', on the other hand they piss me off. Not too many dealers within a reasonable distance.

A little bit on the long drive side. I'll have to check D&D in Greer next time.
i purchased a 21016 Edge from D&D new. Never was impressed with their service department.

i purchased a 21016 Edge from D&D new. Never was impressed with their service department.
And I checked their hours, service is closed on Saturday (only quick lane) whereas Vic is open. Limited hours, but open. I guess I'll be driving to Spartanburg ?
