I had the same issue on my '23. Turns out it was due to the driver profiles. Each profile needs to be set to rain sensing wipers, including the default profile.

When I checked my default profile, it wasn't set to rain sensing. After changing it, rain sensing worked as it should.
Thank you! Your suggestion saved me from a trip to the dealership. Both settings were off under the guest profile. Already love this forum.

Just chiming in to say changing the guest profile settings fixed it for me, too.

Once again, this forum shines with its superior collective know-how and advice! My rain sensing wipers have never functioned properly (since May '23)until I changed the guest profile settings.

I find the rain sending wipers work about as well as the auto climate control. It's not a deal breaker but a bit of a disappointment

My wipers don't turn on automatically with rain. My wipers are variable speed, as the rain comes down stronger or lighter, the wipers speed up and slow down automatically. It works very well but I wish they would come on automatically when it rains.

Another case of the amazing wisdom available through this forum. Changing the guest profile solved this for me too.
Now are there any other settings that the guest profile overrides???

All I have to do to mine is have them on the low setting.

They come on, go off, change speed as needed.

They're turned on in the synch but I don't recall setting up any profiles. Set the mirrors, seats and pedals, using the memory button for my Wife and I but nothing in the synch.

I just acquired a '23 Platinum PB and for the life of me can't get everything sorted out. I've got the TCIM issues that won't let me connect to FordPass and the IPC went black on a 5 hour drive, but the issue at hand here is the wipers...

No matter what setting I put them on, they don't seem to operate as designed. I have the courtesy wipe and rain sensing options enabled in the settings. I then can turn the stalk to the various droplet settings but the wipers always run no matter how dry or clean my windshield is. It's like they don't see that rain sensing setting at all.

Anyone else having this issue?
Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and current mileage. Allow me to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!

So I had my windshield replaced and the auto sensing wipers weren’t working as before. I found this thread and checked the sensor and both clips were fully engaged. I decided to remove it to take a look and noticed upon removal some “sealant” type material on the inside of the windshield and on the sensor. My question is should the sensor and window be clean and free of any type of sealant or “gel”?

thx

When rain sensing is enabled in vehicle settings, rotating the stalk to the first click turns the system on. You could leave it in that position all the time, but there will then be situations of the wiper activating when not wanted.

There are too many for me to have counted. When you dive into module configuration with FORScan, quite a few have "customer" settings. Without profiles enabled, the setting used is "vehicle". That becomes "default" in profiles and there are 4 customer profiles possible In addition. It does seem that "vehicle" still takes precedence in certain situations with profiles enabled.

Whenever I have some weird behaviour like this, I prefer to delete all profiles as a troubleshooting step and set things properly there in "vehicle" to eliminate the possibility of a profile causing issue.

...They're turned on in the synch but I don't recall setting up any profiles. Set the mirrors, seats and pedals, using the memory button for my Wife and I but nothing in the synch.
You can always check in the "Profiles" area; if you have none, it will ask if you want to make one. Running simply without them using "vehicle" settings seems to give no troubles with settings ?
