I’m assuming this update fiddles around with the SOC? Maybe someone can chime in with the footnotes? TIA

My truck uploaded it tonight. I didn’t notice anything significantly different about how my truck charges the battery, but the update de-selected all the “My View” screens in the IPC center display, and afterwards my phone didn’t want to connect to CarPlay via USB. After plugging and unplugging it about six times, and re-booting the APIM twice, it finally connected, and then acted normal. I didn’t check to see if the update changed my target SOC (which I previously set to 95%), but my SOC was at 87%, and the truck was still charging about 6 amps, with a “Generator Voltage Desired” PID at 14.0, and “Battery Voltage” PID at 13.8.

but the update de-selected all the “My View” screens in the IPC center display ....
That's happened to me with each of the many recent OTA updates, I've become very adept at quickly re-building My View (y) ?

Nothing else noticed with this one that arrived yesterday evening, but like the OP I'm curious about its substantive behind-the-scenes changes?

Not to hijack this thread but speaking of battery voltage, is there a way to up the system voltage? When my headlights are on the system is just over 14 volts. Under normal operation it’s like 12.2. I have accessories that don’t like not having 13.8 to them. If there is a solution could you point me to the right thread? Thanks. Also I have upped my SOC setting also. This is on a powerboost.

What device are you using to see the trucks voltage at 12.2V?

If it's a Powerboost and not updated with the latest battery management strategy, you would see ~14+V if you have your HVAC fanspeed set to 5 or higher. (You in the truck with a FOB in Ready Mode)

If your truck has the recently released battery management strategy, you wouldn't see voltage below ~12.7, and would only drop even to that voltage until the AGM battery SOC was above 90% or more.

I can see it with a scan tool for ecm voltage and my radar detector shows voltage. It may be higher in the 12 volt range. I haven’t looked at it in a while. But I run a ham radio that really doesn’t like anything below 13.5v or so. It is a powerboost. Is there any way to adjust that voltage? The trucks accessories are powered from the inverter correct?

This is the OTA that changes the strategy of the BMS which is supposed to allow the battery to maintain charge better.

Most impactful update in a long time. It's a shame it's one of the updates with a snag.
