Pucker Up

Hey all,
Have any of you seen this pucker/warping on your passenger side Cowl Grill? It seems that material is a rubber/vinyl compound and in the warmer months i'm thinking this bump may grow larger. I can push it back down flush, but it pops back up shortly afterwards. It hasn't started to form on the driver side, but I can see where that could also happen.

Yup, I have the same thing going on with my Lariat. I'm not sure it will happen on the drivers side, as I think it has to with expansion/contraction of the material due to temperature and the fact that the antenna is right there.

Doing the same on our 2021 xlt and the drivers side is sagging down about the same amount.

Damn. Why did you have to bring this up.
God decided a few days ago that my 21 XLT was sitting unprotected in my own driveway and pelted it with a bunch of very large marbles from the sky.
(2 other vehicles parked next to it not damaged at all)
Washed the truck today to take it to a shop for an estimate tomorrow and noticed this same little pucker—I didn’t need this on top of an already bent up truck.

Just went and looked at my 2021 and do not have this issue. Looks like Ford moved the warped dash in the 2016s - 2020s to the cowl grill of the trucks on the 2021s and up.

It looks like about a $90 part, (part # ML3Z15022A68AB)

I wonder if Ford would warranty replace it, it seems i'm not alone with this minor blemish.

That would be a bad mold.
the21 and 22 stx grills are going to be doing the same, we just changed that mold to add more clips to prevent the grill from doing this same thing

Yup had that on my 21 as well as a friend of mine,they both got replaced under warranty

So I have a June 15 '22 Blend Date and both of my cowls are warped and have gotten worse over time. The truck lives in western WA so it's not like it's been baking in the southern latitudes.

Going to see if I can get this replaced under warranty though I'm in like month 38
