Did a search and didn’t see it out there so I’m sharing what I learned. Ever since I did the swap I noticed my beam pattern didn’t seem right.
Short version: Make sure when you put your grill back on you measure the depth on the driver and passenger sides of the grill at the top and bottom. For example, measure driver side top corner of grill to the pointy top part of the headlamp assembly. Do the same on the passenger. Make sure they’re the same measurement. Also measure on the bottom corners of the grill to make sure your measurements are equal in relation to the bumper. See photo with poorly drawn areas for measurement locations.
Long story: The driver side beam was kinda angled to the left. Lo and behold, I was working under the hood on something unrelated and noticed I didn’t put my grill on properly during install. I measured from each end of the grill to the top of the headlamp housing, had a difference of about 1/4”. Readjusted the grill and now the beam pattern is clean.
My theory is the front camera doesn’t process the beam pattern correctly during the startup sequence when the grill position is off and it throws the horizontal adjustment out of whack.
After I made these adjustments to the grill, the lighting was much better in all aspects: Straight line driving, dynamic bending, and glare free.
