The Ford dealer did an update on the infotainment system and one thing that is different is the navigation map now defaults to an angled view. It was a straight down view which I preferred.
is there a way to set the default orientation? I can reset it when I start the truck but it has to be done every time.

Thanks

My 2022 doesn’t have factory nav, but my former 2021 did. If I recall correctly, there is a way to toggle between 2D and 3D views. I’m sure someone will chime in to fill you in on that.

Well I feel like an idgit....took 1 minute or less once i looked in the nav menu...DOH.

Darrell
Well the issue is it automatically defaults to 3D heading up every single time you restart the truck, AND the nav no longer maintains the zoom you set, it always reverts back to its “auto” zoom which is incredibly frustrating to me

It's not the zoom level that bothers me it's the fact that it defaulted to 3D when I wanted 2D, I did find a setting in the Nav menu that set the default to 2D....

It’s both that bother me. I have looked all over the settings (or so I thought) to see if I can change the default. Can you point it out for me please?

I did the manual updates to get the latest sync version (22228 rev 539) and that does not change the default setting for me. It’ll change the orientation while the vehicle is running but will reset everytime I restart.

I’m guessing we don’t have the same sync version then.

Well it worked once or twice I think but now is always goes to 3d when I start the truck. Why do updates always seem to be a step backwards??? It's frustrating.

I have the same version.
