I got the Lariat 502A Rapid Red with just about all the options. Couldn’t get the phone power charging mat (only avail in KR and up), and didn’t get the full bed power options (although I think there is still a single plug). It has just about everything a Plat has, but I just am not a fan of the platinum badging. I also didn’t want painted bumpers....however, I’m seeing so many guys now have painted bumpers, maybe thats the new thing.
My wife and I talked about painted bumpers being a new thing on cars and trucks. I’ve gotten used to it on cars but not on trucks. I would buy a truck with painted bumpers but I prefer chrome. I know I’m old school but I like it that way. I remember when everything on the road ways covered with tons of chrome.

That’s the interesting thing, I’m the same way even with wheels. It was on my 2018 F150 that my wheel and tire guy told me black is the new chrome. I since have grown on the black wheels and wouldn’t look back LOL

So, how many of us “ in this for the long haul” people have received their
trucks, or bailed and got a reasonable facsimile off the shelf?

I held out
ordered 8-14 and received my ordered truck on 2-09
I’ve held out, and mine still won’t be here for another 3 to 4 weeks. One of the reasons I wasn’t too worried, because of Covid and low inventory, the used market prices have been pretty high, so I know continuing to drive my current truck, which will be traded in, wouldn’t ding me that much more.

I ordered my new Lariat on 8-3-2020. Finally received my vin today prod date of 2-1-2021 this sucks to have to wait 7 months. It has max trailer tow that might be the problem if so somebody needs to do better on scheduling. Has anyone else had to wait this long?
I placed my order back in 8-26, still waiting for my truck. I have a vin # production date 2-26 so yes we feel your pain.

Sounds like a nice package.

I really don’t understand Ford’s logic for not including the phone charging pad since SYNC 4 now has the capability of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. I guess this is their attempt to get people to upgrade to the KR or higher trim level.

With that being said, I’d be shocked if the wireless pad can’t be added to the Lariat and XLT via a plug and play and maybe with some FORScan. changes.

I totally agree, that one made no sense at all. Usually you can always add any option you want for a price. I believe this is the only one that I’ve ever encountered that cannot be added. As you see my truck has just about all the options a platinum or king ranch or limited would have, I just did not want that specific badging. One thing about their wireless chargers, they can be finicky and slow. I’m also wondering if on these trucks that eats up a lot of that little cubbyhole spot.I would rather have the extra space honestly.

I'm the same way, plus it is much harder to chip chrome of the front bumper.:sneaky:

I hung in there and 5 months after ordering she arrived. Of course I knew it would be almost 2 months before they would even start building them.
