Patience my eye.
Some clown totaled my my K1500 a couple weeks ago.
And the fuel pump died on my Ranger yesterday morning.
(Had to dig the ElCamino out of the garage to get to work)

And this morning, Ranger starts right up like nothing ever happened.
So now I get to drop the tank and replace the pump
Full tank by the way.
This truck should have gone to a new owner in October

I also ordered a fully maxed out Platinum in Sept and am STILL WAITING on a VIN and a build date....

My platinum ordered oct 1 talked to dealer today it is still in order processing.. told him to up the priority to 10 and if he could add max recline seats.. the seats were not available when i ordered

-
- Hybrid Engine
- Work Surface
- A particular black glossy wheel
- 20 inch all season Tires
- Spray in bed liner (not sure I understand this one)
- E-locker Rear end / Max Tow Package
- power running boards

Those are my delayed items since the end of August when I ordered my new Platinum
Today the dealer just gave me a BUILD DATE.

Salesman are NOT necessarily ENTHUSIASTS like we are.
its not at all uncommon to find customers that are VASTLY better informed than the dealer/salesmen are..

I am not a people person, but I sometimes wonder if I could ditch all the this engineering, office politics, and corporate BS and make a living selling cars. I have never met a car salesman, other than Albert, that knew their product well enough to inform me of something useful. But I'd be like Red Foreman from That '70s Show when he tried to sell appliances...How can I sell you a refrigerator if you don't know how many cubic feet of food your family eats each week...

Sweet.......Which color did you pick and did you order it with the “Sport Package”?

In my opinion, the 502A Lariat is the sweet spot before the price really gets out of control.

I got the Lariat 502A Rapid Red with just about all the options. Couldn’t get the phone power charging mat (only avail in KR and up), and didn’t get the full bed power options (although I think there is still a single plug). It has just about everything a Plat has, but I just am not a fan of the platinum badging. I also didn’t want painted bumpers....however, I’m seeing so many guys now have painted bumpers, maybe thats the new thing.

I originally tried to order a 2020, but that didn’t fly. Ordered a 2021 exactly as the ‘20.
I also wanted 2-tone, so I stepped up to 301a to get that.
then I am informed that adding 2-tone gives me painted bumpers.
had to step up to the chrome package to keep the chrome.
makes no sense to me
order the XLT for a few chrome accents and bumpers.
order two tone and they take the chrome away
have to spend an additional 1500ish to keep the chrome bumpers you just bought earlier.

trucks, or bailed and got a reasonable facsimile off the shelf?

I held out
ordered 8-14 and received my ordered truck on 2-09
