mine is doing this throwing that code and showing service engine soon. My truck previous owner had same issue according toAny DTC? P0A1E is related to the starter/generator (BISG). There is multiple instances of that code. Sometimes it will throw a check engine light, other times it will be ''silent''.
If the DTC is active, truck will not go into electric mode.
I had the issue you have on my 2022 earlier this year. Truck would not go into electric mode, even when warm and idling. Often it would go back to normal after an on/off cycle. Issue would come back after a couple of days. P0A1E was present every time. Sometimes with a CEL.
Took it in to the dealer. There is a TSB on that issue (TSB 23-2347). They ended up replacing the starter/generator under warranty.
Service notes and they replaced the battery. They didn’t perform that TSB. We’ll see I’m going to try and get it to a dealer but they’re all playing games about we have no availability for weeks…. But if I asked for an oil change they’re suddenly wide open….
