I called 3-4 dealers in the DFW area and most of them were non-committal on even performing the TSB saying they have to "diagnose" my transmission issue first. Then they said to bring it in mid-February.

Still calling....
Dealers tend to be non-committal on a prescribed fix before seeing the truck. In the end you just gotta complain, mention the tsb and drop it off for warranty repair. They will end up calling you after diagnosis.

i just dropped mine at Grapevine Ford Wednesday and demanded a loaner.

OK I got this done yesterday. For folks in DFW area, Shottenkirk Ford in Granbury was easy to work with and easy to schedule with.

I may be the first person in this entire thread to say this - I don't notice much change after the software update. OK Yes, I notice it getting into second gear more often, however, it still skip shifts (1 - 3) often and it only shifts to second if you are deliberate with the throttle.

The majority of the time I feel clunking is when I come off the gas to coast. Whether gas engine is running or in EV mode, when I come off the gas, I feel a small amount of driveline lash and during coasting I feel the driveline "trembling" ever so slightly, but often enough that I notice it. It's just not a smooth come off the gas and coast experience. Even after this TSB, that is still very much present. (I wonder if this is more a feature of the electric regen brakes than the tranny)

The dealer did say that the Ford computer updated a bunch of other modules on my truck when they plugged it in. And my brake auto hold was disabled when I got back in the truck, so updating modules must have reset some preferences.
The transmission table are relearning too, give it a few days hopefully it will improve.

Had my dealership in Iowa do this TSB on 12/31. So far seems better time will tell as the transmission relearns my driving.

Good luck. I have had repeated horrific experiences with Grapevine Ford on my previous truck - from overfilling my tranny and causing it to overheat, mis-diagnosing suspension issues, etc. I will never ever go back to them.

Dealer just fixed my hard shifting with the TSB. It accelerates smoothly now! Took them a few hours to get to it, but very little time once they started.

I didn't have this exact thing happen but the truck did an update last night I believe and "my view" on the heads up display was gone, the FordPass app finally corrected the securialert to go of only when it is scheduled to...

Yesterday was the first time I felt the lag between 1-3 entering traffic since the TSB was performed. Under mild acceleration, the truck shifted from 1-2 and there was a flat spot where the truck engine was accelerating but the truck was not moving forward until 2nd hit.

You have a HUD on a '21 PB? I didn't think this was available.

After 1000 miles (took a trip with the truck) the harsh shifting after the TSB was performed has come back, not every time but is more evident than when it was initially performed.

My dealer performed TSB 21-2407 on my March 21 production PB. Shifting from 1-3 much better in Normal and Eco mode.
It’s nice when the truck drives like it should!

Previously, I didn't think this applied to my truck. Once the weather got consistently cold, some shifts have been quite harsh sounding. I wonder if weather played a big part in why this seemed to affect some but not others? I am going to have everything I need to update the PCM myself soon, so I'll be able to fix it on my own.

Once you do, please post what all’s involved! Thanks

My dealer in Boone performed the TSB and the truck drives so much better. Smooth as silk so far and thats with the transmission in learning mode again.

I have a ‘22 Platinum with a build date of 11/21 that I just picked up on Tuesday. Love the truck so far, but I’ve been troubled at times by some harshness during the 1-3 / gas-electric transition. It isn’t consistently terrible and I’m learning how to drive around it, but I have no frame of reference as there are so few Powerboosts in the wild for easy back to back comparison. At its worst I’d say it is akin to an unexpected shove in the back (kinda like someone said earlier - a low speed rear ending without the crunch). Do you guys think I’ve got something worth inquiring about with the dealer. I’m about to burn through the first tank of fuel - approx. 550 miles on the odo. Mostly highway miles and gentle break-in throttle discipline. Can’t wait to put this thing to the mat and give it an Italian tune up.
