The PowerBoost fuel tank is topped off and we are ready. It's never good when Jim Cantore from the weather channel is only 15 miles from you...

This spot reserved for when the Ford bot chimes in on how awesome the PB is.
You mean the second you hit the gen button and it phones home it's being used, prompting farley and ford to tweet about it after picking some arbitrary length of time to pretend they're not always watching?

The new phone app intentionally or not will let you track your vehicle on the move and based on the freely available data (freely if you have PTS access like a dealer) will show you at a minimum each time the vehicle starts it calls home to ford and the codes, silent or otherwise, it has at startup.

Do not forget about storm surge.
Thanks! Yes, you have to watch for storm surge that is the #1 killer. I"m not in an evacuation zone/storm surge area, if I get Storm Surge the entire state is underwater :)

I don't see how you could live in a hurricane area and not know about storm surge. The road signs reinforcing it are pretty clear. Cat 2 hurricane and your car is under water. Simple but effective messaging.

I mean I'm 75' above sea level. Now, inland flooding is another story.

So what's the IP grade resistance rating on that PB? In case your truck becomes a submarine...

No sure about that. But Jim Cantore has left our area so that is good news.

I'm at 750 ASL. Flash flooding can be entertaining around here. We've got 3 rivers so water doesn't hang around long but it can sure be entertaining at times.

We are hunkering down in the mountains in north Georgia. This is lining up to be historic for us here. The words hurricane/tropical and mountains don’t mix.

Yeah, 80mph gusts throughout N GA into SC and TN -- if this thing holds predictions the entire SE states are going to get slapped hard. These pines can't take it.
PB is ready to go. I've got battery backup for my place as well as the PB. Given the mess these trees are going to make, might not even be able to do mobile generator as a service for the fam that doesn't have generators.

I warned em it was a dumb idea to let a gen go for a couple hundred $ when there's over $1k of food in the fridges/freezers. You don't buy them for when ya don't need them, they're insurance policies. When everyone else is in the dark and I'm watching movies chilin in the AC, I don't feel bad ..... I really don't. Sometimes I take a walk to survey things and just listen to the silence of the unpreparedness. I'm not laughing under my breath, I promise.
