Anyone figure out how to keep the "emergency open wire" tucked into the wheel well? Mine just dangles like a loose thread.

Hahaha, me too. I didn't even damage old pin, kept it just in case. Here's a better solution! Billet Fuel Door Pin for the Powerboost!

Uh oh, I wonder if the female side of the door is sticking.I get the fuel door open message after every fill up and my pin is intact! Once I stop to open and close the door, the message goes away.
I wonder what it will cost to fix at the dealers?I bought it to dealer yesterday, they are going to replace the fuel door assembly, it will take a couple weeks for the part to arrive. The tech did try the emergency manual wire connection to the fuel door and it's broken.
Here is a picture from a customer of ours a couple weeks ago. As you can see it says his warranty won't cover it which is insane, so he ended up buying a billet pin kit from us instead and saved himself $700I wonder what it will cost to fix at the dealers?
Once you install the pin and the truck sees the fuel door latching properly again, the code will self clear! Thank you for buying a Billet Pin, you will be extremely happy with the quality and effort put into the solution.Thank you Will. I ordered the Billet fuel door pin. I hope it works. Now I have figure out how to turn off the "Check Engine" light.
yeah, the billet pin is a nice piece. I ordered one and installed it when my truck was new, didn’t have any problem. Just didn’t want to have any problems.Hi All,
Well - add me to the list of PB owners experiencing this. My dealer wants $1100 to fix this!! So hence the late night/early morning google search, finding this thread. Went and looked; no post in my plastic sleeve. I'm sure it's at the last gas station. Just ordered the Billet Fuel Door Pin from a couple posts up. Hope to fix myself. I've got $150k in Ford Trucks (F150 PB and Expedition); quoted $1100 from a dealership for this just pissed me off!
