The online parts picture has always been the mid-pipe lineart.

So an all new part number?
Cool

Yes sir. And according to the service writer, this is the “fix”.

That sucks. But, since you paid for this out of warranty I believe it has a two year parts and labor warranty. But please check this yourself.

Got my 2021 back today. Heat exchanger and spigots were replaced along with an oil change and tire rotation. Squeak is gone now.

Part PL3Z-5A212-C for a 157" wb truck. I'd be curious to know if that's a new one or same as always.

took a bit over a week to get the part. Had me on and out in a day.

Had the 'B' part number installed a couple of weeks ago by the dealer to deal with the squeak. Surprisingly had it in stock so there was zero wait and downtime. 145" WB

2021 PB, taking truck in for 2nd service on heat exchanger. This time getting code P2C22. So I guess it's good this is only the second time? Is this covered under the powertrain warranty? Or maybe Hybrid/Electric unique component that goes up to 100K miles? Was getting P2C23 the first time though I never noticed any leaks. Had it fixed about 2 years ago.
got the truck back. First they tried to install NL3Z-18663-A. But when they went to return vehicle same P2C22 returned. So they kept the truck an extra day and installed PL3Z-5A212-B. So far so good.

Well, after owning my 23 XTL PB for 14 mohts, I finally join this heat exchanger issue group LOL,
I had two CELs with P2C22 code and my truck had to be in dealership 3 days each time. They just delivered my truck back to me after replacing a exhaust inlet pipe this time. CEL only stayed couple days then disappear and I didn't notice any abnormal sounds or truck's behavior. There was no coolan leak also but my dealer was able to pull the code. Finger crossed and I hope it doesn't come back now.

Had this P2C23 issue rare it's head multiple times on a trailer trip through Jackson Hole, Tetons, and Yellowstone just recently. Never could get the code to be present at a Ford dealership, so they couldn't do anything but look things over and it said it was okay. I'd left my OBD+ at home, and had it plugged on the latest weekend trip. It did finally pop up again as the P2C23. I'm in a 2021 Powerboost XLT 5.5 with ~55,500 miles. I bought it CPO'd with 40k on it last June and bought an extended warranty(a $3k Extended Service is what I remember it was called) as it had lived a lot without me and it was the first year of the PB...think this will be covered? Aside from some type of leaking in the roof area that may or may not be solved(not covered by warranty at the dealer since they couldn't find a leak) I've been pretty happy with it.

My appointment for an oil change and looking into this(I've got screenshots to show them the code) and wondering what I'm looking at for the fix. Glad they've got a newer part that should fix this, but it seems this is kind of a problematic part, and am hoping it will be covered.

My truck is constantly throwing the P2C23 code as well. It makes me smile.
