Powerboost bad smell coming into cabin .

Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it? I started getting the smell at about 20k miles and its actually making me pretty sick.

The smell is coming through the vents what seems to be some sort of exhaust smell, I took it to the dealer and of course they couldnt duplicate and there's no codes for them to work on. They wouldnt do any exploratory search to see what could be wrong.

I'm pretty close to just getting rid of my truck at this point since I can't stop coughing from driving the truck.

Did you ever get an answer? Mine has a musty smell whenever I start it now and the AC is on, which only seems to be getting progressively worse.

I had similar smell at first, but now it’s like a moldy musty smell… I plan to check the cabin filter this week to see. My truck is garages kept, so ??‍

Ford on this thread “looked into it” by recommending me to talk to my dealer. Which I did, but the specialist is booked until December. So I’ve been meaning to go to another dealer and see. Filter looks good though.

So I took my truck into another Ford Dealer since i was going to be out of town for 10 days.

Turns out the "Motor Assembly" for the A/C was no longer functioning. They replaced this part - FR3Z-19E616-E

I've had my truck back for about a week now with no smell coming through the vents

Looks like the blend door actuator. If correct that controls the recirculate/fresh air and heater functions. If faulty it could in some cases allow fumes from outside to be drawn into the cabin and in some cases can be extremely strong.
