A new version of PowerBoost is now available. For newbies and those with PowerBoosts from the 2021/2022 model year go to the previous PowerBoost 1.5 thread. Also you will find troubleshooting tips in the previous PB 1.5 thread to deal with installation problems you may encounter.

PowerBoost 2.0 was developed on a 2023 PowerBoost using 2023 Ford Enhanced PIDs. If you have a 2024 PowerBoost test it out and see if it works then report back here. This version of PowerBoost will likely not work on 2021/2022 PowerBoosts but I have not tried it. All the testing of this version was done on my 2023 PowerBoost using 2023 Ford Enhanced PID's.

This is a very busy screen. I use this version on an iPhone 16 Pro Max with the iPhone mounted over the vent just to the left of the Sync screen. I have not tested this version on a smaller iPhone screen or any Android devices. I have found it is less distracting while driving to present all the PID's on one screen rather than paging through different dashboards. Others may prefer to create several larger font dashboards. Not hard to do in the editor.

This version of PowerBoost includes a second dashboard screen that is a Apple Map rendering of your current position.

Give it a try on your various devices. Let us know if it works on 2024 and 2025 PowerBoosts.

Here is a direct link to PowerBoost 2.0 ".stg" file.

Nice work! YOU are truly the MX+ OBDLink Guru, I have stolen bunches from you, thanks!

EDIT: 11/28/2024
I used the iOS version from your post and it worked great on my iPhone16+. I then imported it into my Samsung S24 Ultra and all worked.
EDIT 24/12/02: See post #18

So to access this one needs to have the Bluetooth version of the MX+ OBD link, and what else?

If you have the MX+ the plus gets you access to needed MY23 Enhanced PIDs you need to have downloaded. And of course, the iPhone itself paired to your MX+ with the PIDs via the App.

Sounds good, appreciate the assist, now I will have to get the Bluetooth version (already have the wired one)

Great work -- have you considered a density altitude measurement in there as well?

Good measurement to see how cooling rads and engine will perform overall. Good for performance and towing considerations.

I think all the PID's are there to calculate it. I have not spun up on how to do User-Defined PID's.

I realize that the OBDlink 2023 Ford/Lincoln/Mercury PID library was reshuffled quite a bit from the 2022 library. So that's why you predict the unlikelyhood that the import wouldn't go smoothly.

But I also know that YOU have many hours in both libraries, so you would know whether the PIDs you used in 2.0 are PIDs that existed in 1.5, albeit with different mapping/paths?

You know what I'm wondering too. ?

Since 80% of the work on this custom dashboard is the hours spent in the Style tools, I could still inherit that focus and sweat, but I would have to manually find the appropriate PID path for each gauge using the 2022 library.

Off the top of your head do you recall which PIDs in 2.0 didn't even exist in your 1.5? :)

Edit: other than PPOB, of course

What was confusing is that some of the PID's measure the same thing but they changed the name between model years. For sure none of the PPoB PID's were in 1.5 because I was always trying to find them. Current Trip PID's are new. I really like the new Fuel Used PID in 2.0. I have found it to be very accurate within +/- .1 gallon of actual fuel used. However, you have to remember to start the App when you start the engine to keep an accurate measure of fuel burn.

Awesome!....this to super detailed, way better than the basic dashboards I have created. Can you point me in the right direction as to how I download/upload this .stg (or whatever the proper file extension is) to my Android device. I also have a 2023 PB, so PID's should align.

When I use your link it only downloads a 48 kb file instead of a 654 kb file like 1.5 contained. Am I missing something?

No. When you export a dashboard you can choose what to include in the export. For PowerBoost 2.0, I only exported the two page dashboard and no other log files or settings files. I imported the posted PowerBoost 2.0 file back to my iPhone and it worked perfectly. The 48 kb file is all you need to format the dashboards.

All I know is IOS. We have many folks here using Android who can help. I know that it works since several folks have commented that it does. Depending on the device there will be some screen formatting issues between an import to IOS versus Android.

Got it imported. Excellent. Thank you for the work. I like to see what’s going on.
